2010-07-20 Thread Rowena
By now you have probably reread and noticed that Reid mentioned it in
the first line of the second paragraph - Blood Electrification.

From back when I was on the list I seem to recall that blood
electrification could greatly assist victims of MS. Is this true, and
if so, how? I also recall a regime that made use of three nine volt
batteries, daisy chained, with terminals on either side of the artery
at the wrist. I'd also like those on the list to know that I've
assisted several friends with BE. In several cases these friends were
able to remedy serious toothaches, using BE.

they may be desperate for relief, and RFD  isn't practical for some reason.

If chemotherapy helps, then BE should help.
What it DOES is split the salt in your blood stream into Hypochlorus Acid
[similar to MMS] and Sodium Hydroxide.
With BE you get control of how much and where...and when the two products
meet up they turn back into salt.

That's nearly immediate dose control with the twist of a dial
Both products apparently attack cancer cells [yup, there is some
experimental mainstream confirmation]

I'd not be surprised if they didn't also alter [neutralize] neuro-toxins
and venoms and, of course, kill parasites and germie thingies.

Iron Silver Cells [battery]

These have a very high energy density, and a good cycle life. It is an
alkaline battery with a KOH electrolyte, and the working materials are
silver oxide and metallic iron.

BE produces NaOH and probably KOH as well.
Add Silver to that deal ?
It it were done using silver electrodes for iontophorosis [direct injection
of metallic ions and various medicines using electricity ]..ya might get
metallic Iron deposits to discharge into some soluble byproduct or the
other...or maybe just silver plate them. [er]

Then there's Tetrasilver Tetroxidea form of silver oxide...and that
black stuff on one of the electrode in a DC CS generator, that which makes
a batch go yellow if it's formed in the water.

Rumor has it that the brown murky reaction when adding Hydrogen Peroxide to
a batch of CS too soon is the process by which Tetrasilver Tetroxide is made.

 Concentrate that in a centrifuge?

Anyhoo, Silver and Iron reactions happen and likely bears looking into
more deeply.
Could it be that these Iron deposits ARE acting like a battery and it's
the stray power discharge that interferes with the normal electro-chemical
[neurotransmitter] function of snapping synapses? [ turning them into
napping synapses?]

Inhibition of glucose oxidation

In 1948, Knox et
al.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypochlorous_acid#cite_note-ref48-22[23]
proposed the idea that inhibition of

in the bacteriocidal nature of chlorine solutions. He proposed that the

Blood Electrification...somewhat of a misnomer as electricity doesn't
actually flow through a liquid like it does copper with electrons bumping
themselves down the line directly.
It makes ionic electrochemical products to transport the electrons

from salts vs Hydrogen, Oxygen [water] and Silver.

A lightning strike is a bit different and direct.

 Pesticide filter debuts in India

A domestic water filter that uses metal nanoparticles to remove dissolved
pesticide residues is about to enter the Indian market. Its developers at
the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chennai (formerly Madras)
believe it is the first product of its kind in the world to be
 commercialised.

Mumbai-based Eureka Forbes Limited, a company that sells water purification
systems, is collaborating with IIT and has tested the device in the field
for over six months. Jayachandra Reddy, a technical consultant to the
company, expects the first 1000 units to be sold door-to-door from late May.

'Our pesticide filter is an offshoot of basic research on the chemistry of
nanoparticles,' Thalappil Pradeep who led the team at IIT Chennai
told Chemistry World. He and his student Sreekumaran Nair discovered in 2003
that halocarbons such as carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) completely break down
into metal halides and amorphous carbon upon reaction with gold and silver
 nanoparticles1.

Pradeep said this prompted them to extend their study to include
organochlorine and organophosphorous pesticides, whose presence in water is
posing a health risk in rural India. In research funded by the Department of
Science and Technology in New Delhi, his team found2,3 that gold and silver
nanoparticles loaded on alumina were indeed able to completely remove
endosulfan, malathion and chlorpyrifos - three pesticides that have been
found at elevated levels in Indian water supplies.

 Use and recycle

The mechanism of removal is 'adsorption followed by catalytic destruction',
Pradeep explained. 'The chemistry occurs in a wide concentration range of
environmental significance.' He added that tests proved silver particles
from the filter are not released into the water. The IIT study found that
gold particles perform better in the case of endosulfan. However, for cost
reasons, the commercialised filters use only silver particles, which range
in size from 60 to 80 nanometres at a concentration (on their alumina
support) of 33 parts per million.

'Based on consumption patterns of a typical Indian household, the filter is
designed to have enough nanomaterials to provide 6000 litres of
pesticide-free water for one year,' Pradeep said. 'After that, the company
will recycle the filters to recover the silver.'

Use of nanoparticles for environmental remediation is an emerging area of
research worldwide. Nanoscale iron powders had been shown to degrade other
pesticides, including DDT and lindane4, 'and there are reports about the use
of nanomaterials for removing arsenic, heavy metals and fluorides,' said
Pradeep. 'But ours is the first product to hit the market,' he said.

But fluoride is readily absorbed through the skin so if you have fluoride in
your house water you will still get some fluoride internally. I think that the
best options lie in reducing fluoride ingestion as much as you can and then
augmenting it with supplements that eliminate fluoride from the body. Perhaps
the best for this is iodine supplementation This will also remove excess
bromide as well as the fluoride.

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0ISW/is_2003_May/ai_100767875

With 3 tablets, the 24h excretion of fluoride was 17.5 times baseline level;
and for bromide, 18 times baseline level. These high levels persisted even
after one month of supplementation at 3 tablets/day, being 15 times baseline
level for fluoride, and 16 times for bromide. After one month, the estimated
total amount of halide excreted was 24 mg fluoride and 8700mg bromide.

Some other substances that help eliminate fluoride are borax and the Tamarind
fruit.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11840184?dopt=Abstract

http://fluoridationqueensland.com/blog/fluoridating-queenslands-water-supplies/

Boron effectively counteracts symptoms of fluoride intoxication in humans
(Zhou et al. 1987) and in experimentally poisoned rabbits (Elsair et al. 1980a,
1980b, 1981). Humans suffering from skeletal fluorosis experienced 50 to 80%
improvement after drinking solutions containing 300 to 1,100 mg of borax/L
daily, 3 weeks a month for 3 months (Zhou et al. 1987). Boron enhances
sequestration of fluoride from bone and excretion through kidneys and possibly
the intestinal tract (Elair et al. 1980a, 1981).

The method for using borax is to dissolve the borax 1/32 teaspoon to 1/4
teaspoon in one liter of drinking water and drink throughout the day. A woman's
dose is 1/8 tsp, a man's dose is 1/4 tsp dissolved in one liter of drinking
water.

However, our research using amorphous diatomaceous earth revealed
that NOTHING WE EMPLOYED equaled the ability to incite fire ants to
move to another location...as did a generous sprinkling of DE all
over the top of the mound. About a pint of material for a mound 20

with the DE-as it infiltrates all of the joints/appendages of each ant.

CSwhat blood electrification does and a simple BE device

2010-07-20 Thread A. Reid Harvey

This is to describe a very simple and inexpensive unit for blood
electrification (BE) for anyone who doesn't know about this. All that is
required is three nine volt batteries, three or four feet of single strand
electrical wire, and a couple of metal pins.

The two metal pins can be made from an iron cloths hanger, cut with pliers and
with any paint sanded off. They should each be a couple of inches long, with an
eye turned at one end of each, into a loop. This can be turned with a pair of
needle nose pliers.

The three nine volt batteries are daisy chained together, so that there are two
terminals remaining at the opposite ends. The two wires are each turned around
each of the two end terminals, and the other end of each wire is tied to the
loop of each of the pins.

To make this unit work, the pins are placed on either side of the artery that's
at a wrist. Then these are secured to the wrist, using several rubber bands.
Current goes across the two pins, and a tiny amount of this gets into the blood
stream. It's detectable by feel, but only just barely.

What this does is to send electrons into the blood stream, and apparently these
kill undesireable pathogens on contact. I'm supposing that the effect is much
like that of CS, but there are other benefits, depending on the health issue
involved.

I have no doubt that there are others on the list who are much more
knowledgeable about this process than I am. My original question about MS was
partly about any possible benefit from BE. I had thought that MS had something
to do with an electrical imbalance in the body, and that perhaps BE would help
with this.

Dan,
I came across Prill beads. In this article, it says that both
chlorine and fluoride dissipates. Have a read of this page and see what
you think::

http://www.thewolfeclinic.com/prillbeads.html
This is the excerpt:
When you make Prill
water, the Prill beads transform water at the molecular level and make
what Jim Carter calls thin water. The water forms single molecules of 2
hydrogen and 1 oxygen atoms that are very tightly and permanently bound
together. In some magical way, the chlorine and fluoride in the water are
dissipated and the water is pure and pristine as glacial water and will
super hydrate your body even better than clustered water because you can
afford to drink it all day. This is a huge part of the magic of Prill
Water.

 Pesticide filter debuts in India

A domestic water filter that uses metal nanoparticles to
remove dissolved
pesticide residues is about to enter the Indian market. Its
developers at
the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chennai
(formerly Madras)
believe it is the first product of its kind in the world to
be
 commercialised.

Mumbai-based Eureka Forbes Limited, a company that sells
water
 purification
systems, is collaborating with IIT and has tested the device
in the field
for over six months. Jayachandra Reddy, a technical
consultant to the
company, expects the first 1000 units to be sold
door-to-door from late
 May.

'Our pesticide filter is an offshoot of basic research on
the chemistry
 of
nanoparticles,' Thalappil Pradeep who led the team at IIT
Chennai
told Chemistry World. He and his student Sreekumaran Nair
discovered in
 2003
that halocarbons such as carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)
completely break
 down
into metal halides and amorphous carbon upon reaction with
gold and
 silver
 nanoparticles1.

Pradeep said this prompted them to extend their study to
include
 organochlorine and organophosphorous pesticides, whose
presence in water
 is
posing a health risk in rural India. In research funded by
the Department
 of
Science and Technology in New Delhi, his team found2,3 that
gold and
 silver
nanoparticles loaded on alumina were indeed able to
completely remove
endosulfan, malathion and chlorpyrifos - three pesticides
that have been
found at elevated levels in Indian water supplies.

 Use and recycle

The mechanism of removal is 'adsorption followed by
catalytic
 destruction',
Pradeep explained. 'The chemistry occurs in a wide
concentration range of
environmental significance.' He added that tests proved
silver particles
from the filter are not released into the water. The IIT
study found that
gold particles perform better in the case of endosulfan.
However, for
 cost
reasons, the commercialised filters use only silver
particles, which
 range
in size from 60 to 80 nanometres at a concentration (on
their alumina
support) of 33 parts per million.

'Based on consumption patterns of a typical Indian
household, the filter
 is
designed to have enough nanomaterials to provide 6000 litres
of
pesticide-free water for one year,' Pradeep said. 'After
that, the
 company
will recycle the filters to recover the silver.'

Use of nanoparticles for environmental remediation is an
emerging area of
research worldwide. Nanoscale iron powders had been shown to
degrade
 other
pesticides, including DDT and lindane4, 'and there are
reports about the
 use
of nanomaterials for removing arsenic, heavy metals and
fluorides,' said
Pradeep. 'But ours is the first product to hit the market,'
he said.

CSDiatherm system

2010-07-20 Thread Norton, Steve
I ran across an antique medical device labeled a Portable Diatherm. I
consists of two typewriter size cases and appears to be an RF type
diathermy machine. From what I can gather it uses RF to generate
localized heating in the tissues and is used for healing. It has a

Anyone know anything about diathermy machines? Is there any value to

Re: CSClub Soda Gets Rid of Fire Ants?

2010-07-20 Thread Renee
Hi Brooks. Here in south Texas, where fire ants are rampant, we found that
the best way was to sprinkle some DE around the mound, then stir the mound
up to get zillions of them to come buzzing out of the mound, then while they
are swarming around the mound dump a bunch more DE on.

Only the very largest mounds needed another 'dose' the next day, but those
were rare and always after the second dose they were gone. Whether all dead
or moved away, I don't know, but the mound would be done with and they never
built close to that area with a new mound.

Although Naltrexone is a drug, the site is not about drug treatment for
MS. It is about how this
unique effect of blocking opioid receptors for 4-6 hours a day results
in a rebound modulation of the immune system. There may also be effects
on oxidative stress through Nitric Oxide and also DNA replication. The
drug is a shift in paradigm. It increases Met-5-enkephaline which is
natural and can be used, aka Opioid Growth Factor is costs $3,000 a
month and does not have the full range of benefits.

It has saved many with MS from the terrible side effects and costs of
the CRAB drugs.

Their MS stops progressing in 90% of the cases. There are now studies
and many case

histories, some who have been taking LDN for over five years.

It is a super low dose and has a huge margin of safety. Some MS patients
take as little as 2 mg, others are using 0.5 mg once a week for immune
balancing. FM is relieved, Crohns,

Austism, AIDS . . . any immune system disorder may respond.

The drug is out of patent so there is no profit motive to push this
treatment. It is all patient driven.

Natural is good, but if you broke your arm would you allow it to heal
naturally?

I'm not saying not to use natural means, many who take LDN do, and the
doctors generally are holistic with an emphasis on diet and nutriceuticals.

Where there is sensible safe treatment it never hurts to investigate.

CSGuar gum: a cheap substitute for agar in microbial culture media

2010-07-20 Thread Norton, Steve

A little while back the subject of growing mushrooms came up. I was surprised
by the number of people who had, or do, grow mushrooms. I came across this
while looking for uses for guar gum. So FYI for any who it might be interested.

- Steve N

http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/118696145/abstract?CRETRY=1SRETRY=0

Guar gum: a cheap substitute for agar in microbial culture media

Aims: To determine the possibility of using guar gum, a colloidal
polysaccharide, as a cheap alternative to agar for gelling microbial culture
media.
Methods and Results: As illustrative examples, 12 fungi and 11 bacteria were
cultured on media solidified with either guar gum or agar. All fungi and
bacteria exhibited normal growth and differentiation on the media gelled with
guar gum. Microscopic examination of the fungi and bacteria grown on agar or
guar gum gelled media did not reveal any structural differences. However,
growth of most of the fungi was better on guar gum media than agar, and
correspondingly, sporulation was also more advanced on the former. Bacterial
enumeration studies carried out for Serratia sp. and Pseudomonas sp. by serial
dilution and pour-plate method yielded similar counts on both agar and guar
gum. Likewise, a selective medium, succinate medium used for growth of
Pseudomonas sp. did not support growth of Bacillus sp. when inoculated along
with Pseudomonas on both agar or guar gum supplemented medium.
Conclusions: Guar gum, a galactomannan, which is 50 times cheaper than
Difco-bacto agar, can be used as a gelling agent in place of agar in microbial
culture media.
Significance and Impact of the Study: As the media gelled with guar gum do not
melt at temperature as high as 70°C, these can be used for isolation and
maintenance of thermophiles.

Re: CSMultiple Sclerosis; infant acid reflux

2010-07-20 Thread Garnet_LDN
I will always support natural healing methods over pharmaceuticals.
smile But I am not going to throw the baby out with the bath water.

However many natural substances are also chemicals so to me there is not
so much a line in the sand over where the substance originated as in how
it acts in the body. Given a choice I go for the sustainable, available
and safe-er approach.

In the case of Low Dose Naltrexone, if there were a substance that was
natural that would
have the same effect I would be all over it. At this point there is not,
and when I see that
some people with MS might still be walking had they found it a year or
so earlier, I can't help but want to ensure that everyone at least knows
that it is available. There are many who would not consider natural
means until they had experience LDN and the holistic approach of the
practitioners that prescribed it for them. Some doors swing both ways.

And yes I have heard of Epilepsy being cured ! and MS going into
complete remission. As well as the myelin sheath regrowing in MS.

I might also mention that if you take vitamins they are chemicals, many
are synthetic and therefore they are also drugs. Colloidal silver is a
mineral but none of us would have
access to it were it not for batteries, electricity, and many other
artificial substances and

devices.

I think it is easy to get hung up on the small picture and miss that
what is important is that we
heal with the most ease, safety and comfort, not that we never use
something synthetic.
