Re: CSThyroid help???
Hi Marsha, Long time since I've posted. I have just gone through two surgeries and RAI ablation on my thyroid. it was cancer, however. I suggest you find a holistic dr. to check thyroid levels, as the reg docs only want to use synthroid hormones and not the natural ones, which is not as good IMHO! I have used iodine too but quit when the drs scared me into the surgeries. I tell you the big C word really does scare the crap out of you. They now tell me there is nothing wrong with me ... but never any guarantee. It will always be haunting me. I will start using the iodine again in a few months after my next WBS as it interferes with the results. The thyroid will absorb as much iodine as it can but bromine and chorine will replace it and block it if you give it a chance. Gatorade and Mountain dew are heavily doused with brominated vegetable oil and it blocks the iodines uptake. I think that is what may have caused my cancer as i used gatorade quite heavily not no more!!! Oops, I meant to say nodules. I too have cysts on my head and elsewhere, they are sebaceous cysts, nonmalignant globs of skin oils called sebum, which over time had built up and formed a bump because the follicle didn`t have an opening to the outside to let the sebum out. Easily removed. It`s a hereditary thing, my dad and my youngest son both had/have them. I did have a scan and a needle biopsy on my nodules. No cancer, so far... Last night I ordered in an iodine preparation from the Global Healing Center (on the Internet) where I get my Calcium/Magnesium Orotate from, I hope that might help. I haven`t gotten the results back from my bloodwork yet, I hope to find out if my thyroid is working well or not. Anyone else have nodules or other thyroid experiences? I have 2 on the right side that are so big, there`s little thyroid tissue left there, and my doc wants to whack that side out. (WWW, I don`t want my throat cut!!!) At least they aren`t cancer... Make sure her husband is NOT on any type of fake sugar. The fake sugars are toxic and the body's response to those certain toxins mimic Parkinson's and MS. Elimination of the fake sugars 'cures' the disease. Samala, Renee ---Original Message--- I've just had a friend call and tell me that her husband has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Only making sure that he is not eating or drinking anything with aspartame in it. I believe that the majority of Parkinson's diagnoses are in actuality misdiagnosed Rumsfeld's disease. It that is the case, and it is not too far advanced, it might be reversible. Within a week she was washing herself and two weeks walking independently up stairs. It was my early days and didn't know the enormity of what she had, but treated her as if she had intense fear. Three session and she and husband went off for a tour of the country, moved to a different town and bought another house. Hi! BTW it is Marshalee, I kill those who call me Marsha... :o) So, tell me, what is RAI ablation and WBS? My doc is an ENT. He says he does thyroidectomies, but I DO intend to get a second opinion... My blood work came back normal. The iodine I ordered in is called Detoxadine, I`m supposed to use 3 drops a day. It isn`t here yet, should arrive in a day or so. I hope it`ll help. Thanks for the info on the chlorine and Gatorade and all, interesting! I noticed that I do feel lots better since I got milk out of my diet. My joints don`t hurt any more, thanks to that and CMO. I spoke with an Indian friend about this. She said when Monsanto came in they promised wonderful things but had contracts beyond what Indian farmers could understand. She reminded me that Indians are generally very trusting people, especially those in rural areas and they never expected Monsanto's lies. Maybe I misread something. Is it because you have nodules? Did your FNB came back normal? I had horrible problems around 2000. The thyroid panel the Internal med Dr. did showed normal, however, I found a lump in my throat and was sent to an Endocrinologist who did the FNB which was ok but the other thyroid panel showed antibodies which indicated I have Hashimoto's. Another test showed 3 nodules. I take Synthtroid. It was a rough ride for awhile but things have settled down now. Hope you do well Edith
Re: CSThyroid help???
Hi, Edith, Well, I have 2 large nodules in the right side, which take up most of the gland on that side. He wants to remove just that side. I`m wondering if they are the cause of the miserable pulsatile tinnitus (a grinding pulsating sound in my right ear) which drives me crazy sometimes. (It is so hard to get to sleep with a loud constant vroom, vroom, vroom in the ear!!) If so, perhaps getting rid of the things will stop that. Boy, that would sure be nice! I also have to wash my food down with fluids, I`m wondering if that is also because of the nodules. What is a FNB? My bloodwork is normal for thyroid, if that is what you mean. The link below explains this much better than I can. _http://thyroid.about.com/cs/endocrinology/a/antibodies.htm_ (http://thyroid.about.com/cs/endocrinology/a/antibodies.htm) I take Synthroid. At first you could see my largest nodules bulging but now it is smaller and I do not take the meds everyday although I am supposed to. If I don't take them for long periods of time, my nodules start getting larger and my bloodwork is all out of whack. If you could see an Endocrinologist, he/she would know all about these things. I would do that before I made any surgery decisions. Best to you, Edith
