CS>home-made colloidal silver

2008-01-27 Thread Yvonne Prete
Thanks to everyone who offered me answers to my questions. I'll discuss the
ionic vs small particle question with SOTA and let you know what they say.

For several months I tested my home-made solution with an expensive and
tedious meter using n expensive solution. As long as I used distilled
water, heated it to boiling. and left the silver wires in for twenty
minutes, I got 5 ppm of whatever I was making.

CS>home-made xolloidial silver

2008-01-25 Thread Yvonne Prete
I've been using a SOTA colloidial silver-maker for about six years. I rinse
with it, spray with it and drink a little of it. I haven't turned blue yet
but I understand that I could. Now the input I'd like is: anyone else using
SOTA and what do you think? Is it making ionic colloidial silver or
small-particle colloidial silver? Who votes for ionic and who votes for
small-particle?

I'll contribute a bit of anecdotal information: I think I get a lot less
plaque if I rinse with my brand of CS but I haven't set up an experiment.
My son says his vet says my son's dogs are free of intestinal parasites
which he thinls is close to a miracle. They get some amount of SOTA derived
colloidal silver in their drinking wat. This is very unscientific.

CS>Ear Yeast Treatment for dogs, Possibly OT

2006-10-26 Thread Yvonne

I have used, with good success, the following for my cocker spaniels.

20 drops gentian violet in 1 bottle isopropyl alcohol. Put drops in alcohol
and shake well. Fill ear canals with mixture. Use every 2 days for active
infection and once weekly for prevention.

The original recipe called for the addition of boric acid powder and it is
called Blue Power Ear Wash but since I didn't have the boric acid powder I
just used the gentian violet and alcohol and it works well. It does color
the inside of the ears purple for a day or two (and anything else it gets
on).

CS>Question about making silver

2005-08-26 Thread Yvonne

Hi,

I ordered the SilverGen6 and made my first batch of silver with it today. I
also ordered the Hanna water tester.

I calibrated the tester and checked my distilled water and all seemed to go
well but the generator cut off after about an hour. I thought it was
supposed to run longer. After it cut off, I tested the solution with the
Hanna meter and it tested 3.2. Is this good or bad? Did the generator run
long enough? How do I determine my ppm?

Any answers will be GREATLY appreciated.

Hi All,
I just want to say THANKS to everyone who gave me info and answered my
questions. As soon as I get my colloidal silver generator, I am sure I will
have more questions since I'm really new to this concept. The first CS I
purchased was from Rich Adams and it has done wonders to heal cuts, scrapes,
etc and I'm putting it in my dog's drinking water and taking some myself
each day. My dog has severe allergies and I have tried just about anything
and everything--different vets, all kinds of supplements, foods, etc. Some
things work marginally and others not at all. I'm trying the CS now on her
ears. She is a Cocker Spaniel and they are an ongoing problem. I'm taking
the CS myself for arthritis and it seems to be helping.

Thanks again for the information.

CS>CS Questions

2005-03-27 Thread Yvonne

Hi,
I've been lurking and trying to learn as much about collodial silver as
possible for about the past 6 months and I've learned a tremendous amount.
I plan on buying my own generator soon but right now I have two questions I
hope someone can help me with.

Can collodial silver be warmed in the microwave? I want to use it in my
husbands and dog's ears and it would just be easier to heat it a few seconds
in the microwave it it doesn't harm the silver.

Second, I just purchased a bottle of collodial silver from my food co-op.
It is made by Futurebiotics and is 10 ppm. I noticed the color is a light
yellow. Since it's not clear, does this mean it is not of good quality?

Thanks for any info you can give me.

I should have a few more to add to this list in a few days, we just got in
"Noble Metals and Biological Systems" and it does list a few more. I would
suggest that anybody who is seriously studying CS get a copy. It deals with
silver, gold and platinum and is very enlightening!

from:
http://www.smart-drugs.com/JamesSouth-silver.htm

"Writing in the Lancet in 1912, physician C.E. MacLeod reported based
upon his widespread clinical use of chemically-produced colloidal
Silver that "They [silver 'collosols' of 500 ppm strength] may be
applied topically, hypodermically, intravenously, or by the mouth,
and being non-toxic the dose hypodermically is unlimited, and
experimental injections of 1 to 2 c.c. of 500 ppm Silver would supply
1/2 to 1mg Silver
French physician B.G. Duhamel reported on the use of Electrargol (an
electro-colloidal Ag providing 400 PPM Ag) also in the Lancet in
1912. He stated that "They [Ag(e) preparations] are employed as a
rule for the sake of their constitutional effects, for which purpose
an injection of from 5 to 20 c.c. [2 to 8 mg Silver ] is made into
muscle or... into the veins Similarly, the colloid [Silver]
products can be injected... into the spinal canal (cerebro-spinal
meningitis) the most remarkable effects follow the intravenous
injection of these colloids; indeed in some instances the patients
have been rescued from apparently inevitable death One point
stands out prominently, and that is the absolute innocuousness of
these [Silver colloids], whether injected into the veins or muscles
or into the spinal canal the dose is determined solely by the
requirements of the case since they are devoid of toxicity."
T.H. Sanderson-Wells, reporting on the successful treatment of a case
of puerperal septicemia by injection of "collosol argentum" (a 500
PPM chemical-colloidal Silver ), noted that Ò20 c.cm. of collosol
argentum [=10 mg Silver] produced no untoward effects." (28)
Most of the quantitative safety data on Silver comes from a large
number of animal studies done in the past century. Thus, "Huebner
found that with intravenous injection into rabbits the minimum lethal
dose of the non-colloidal silver thio-sulfate was 0.01 to 0.03 gram
per kilo, while the minimum lethal dose of colloidal silver was 0.065
gram per kilo." (27) This would equate to an injection dose for a
70kg/154 pound human of 4550 mg.
M.S. Wysor tested high doses of Silver sulfadiazine (30% Ag) in mice
every day for a month. He reported that "Doses of 1,050 mg/kg when
administered by oral and subcutaneous routes were not toxic No
deaths occurred within the two experimental groups ... during the 30-
day test period At the end of the test period, all the animals
were sacrificed and tissue sections sent to the Department of
Pathology for analysis. Histological studies showed that there was no
obvious pathology in any of the groups receiving silver sulfadizine
for the test period. There was no weight loss in any of the groups
and no evidence of behavioral changes. None of the animals exhibited
diarrhea." (17). A 1,050 mg/kg dose of Silver sulfadiazine would
translate into roughly 22 grams of elemental Silver for a 70kg/154
pound person.
Hill and Pillsbury report results of many animal Silver toxicity
studies in their 1939 book on Silver . For example, "Lentz has
administered a saturated solution of a silver oxide containing 1.52
grams per liter intravenously in doses as large as 4 c.c. three times
daily for a period of three weeks to various animals without
producing any apparent toxic effects." (7). An equivalent dose for a
70kg human would provide 1190 mg Silver daily. "

CS>Doggie-help please!

2001-06-29 Thread Yvonne and Mickey - BIO-SIL
Hi there! I'm not sure if this is a repeat but I never saw it appear on
the list so think original message may have gotten lost in cyberspace!

If anyone can help I'd be most grateful:
1. My German Sheppies nearly 10 years old - brother has very stiff joints
and doesn't move with the ease and grace he used to possess
2. His sister has an apparently common to GSDs problem - which is anal
fistulae (bacteria which literally burrow through the intestines and right
out the back under tail). Vets we've consulted and whose treatments have
not worked, say there is no cure and kindest move is to euthanase. Well,
this is not an option to me right now as she seems fairly happy otherwise.

Thank you - your thoughts make sense to me - our pets are all dosed with CS -
they all love it and our big Siamese kitty makes a beeline for a glass of water
with CS in it!

PS for CS Listers and experts - Our German Shepherd has been battling with
anal fistulae which is apparently a breed-specific problem. The vets I've
consulted say there is no cure and that euthanasia is the only answer. Well,
I don't believe in giving up - am currently trying a homeopathic treatment -
and she's still a happy pooch who loves a good walkies! I'd appreciate any
suggestions. Also for our male GS - also a common problem of hip/joint
stiffness. Many thanks.

  Yvonne,
Most pet owners don't even question a yearly vacc. Lets give this some
thought... a human child gets one set of vacc. that last on average 60 - 70
  yrs.
An animal, by most vet standards gets an annual vacc. Now Fifi only lives on
the average of 15ys. Why can't Fifi's one time vacc build immunity and last
for their very short lifespan? Vacc. challenge the immune system and as an
animal gets older this can present a problem in many areas.
I have read on numerous sites that some vets are finally questioning the need
for yearly and have upped to 3 ys... which still baffles me. When I do vacc.
my cats, I use intranasal /intraocular to avoid site related sarcomas PLUS
most virus/germs enter the body through the nose, eyes, mouth. The vacc.
stimulates immunity in the tissues where the viruses enter the body.
Of course I use CS in their water or as their water to keep the cooties away.

I sent this thinking it might be great for the newbies in the group. Always
encouraging.

We have been getting reports of very promising results of using colloidal
silver on Hepatitis-C. The original testimony by Karen was so well received
that we had to remove her contact information to return her privacy. Because of
her testimony, many others are using colloidal silver against this terrible
disease. Though the time periods are too short to get excited about, several
people (a dozen or so) have reordered the product and report good success both
in terms of symptoms and medical (enzyme) numbers. We continue to be encouraged
because we know for every one who bothers to report results, there are many who
just get better and go on down the road. When is the last time you called a
drug company to thank them for the good results you got with their product? We
will keep you posted on this developing story.

Many are getting good results using colloidal silver against Sinusitis. Since
we put up the "Sinusitis" page http://utopiasilver.com/sinusitis.htm , we have
been getting many confirming reports, both on the validity of the "fungal"
theory and the value of colloidal silver in its treatment. Among the
testimonies below are several on the continuing successful fight against sinus
problems. As you read the testimonies, keep in mind, these are not our words or
our opinions, but the uncut, unedited (except for correction of an occasional
typo).
