Just sharing something from personal experience, faith. That is allowed, isn't it? This is what works best for me and it might work well for someone else too. FYI this product has in descending order: l-ascorbic acid, quercitin, bromelain, citurs bioflavinoids, hesperidin, rose hips, acerola, rutin. Re: CSBest type of Vitamin C to buy
OK, with all the discussion of pros and cons I would like to know places to shop for the real Vit C that we all need. I too thought asorbic acid was a natural vit C and was sufficient but have read where too much of that causes problems?! But since ViT C is crucial to everything working in our bodies I think we need to investigate this further. So, I will be looking forward to your comments and thanks Marshall. Morning DByran, At 09:05 AM 11/7/2007, you wrote: I think you are making a few False Assumptions, and I will tell you why. best sort of C Complex I can come up with. Maybe so, but that is not the issue. I'm increasingly convinced by holistic argunments that the body needs a complex of VitCs to assimilate properly. Not sure who these people / sources are but it does not matter. There is no proof of that statement, over many thousands of years. You and them are forgetting that only ONE Form of Natural Vitamin C exists, ... period. Man and ALL Animals have survived for thousands of years with only natural vitamin C. Long before the Genius chemists, started monkeying around with Vitamin C. Explain that ! I am a bit concerned though about whatever degree of heat might be used in the processing, since heat tends to destroy VitC. No animal, plant, or human destroys it. Its pretty hard to find information on how vitamins are processed, in my experience. my 2cents, Of course. some of the methods are secret no doubt. I am not saying the Man Made Vitamin C is no good. Yet, all the people that yell ... Organic, Organic, Organic, and Natural, Natural and Natural from the mountain tops will turn right around and buy man made Vitamin C. That my friend, is a double set of Standards. No animal or plant on the face of the earth makes any Vitamin C complex. Go Figure ! Fact is, any vitamin C is better than NO vitamin C. Of the three makers of Vitamin C, Plants, Animals, and Man, I say Man is the Genius Chemist. The other two can make only one kind. Man Can make Many. And Possibly the ones man makes is best. But still, some of your statements do not hold water. Likewise with Plant Nutrients, Man is the only Genius in the bunch. but that is another long and controversial story, and the Organic Bunch will have a heart attack, or their blood pressure will go thru the Roof. Organic is ONE BOGUS Term with many definitions. Fact is, I believe both sides of the story, but that does not make many of the statements man makes true. Dealing with FACTS instead of Theories and Fallacies is hard to do. But I can usually do it, .. in some instances. Wayne -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. Morning Faith, At 09:28 AM 11/7/2007, you wrote: What on earth is a 'complex' of vitamin C? Is that like a 'complex' of prune juice? Or a 'complex' of the brazil nut? You ask the hardest questions. Do you think we are all genius's ? NO l-ascorbic acid IS vitamin C, period the end amen. Just when I think I have it all figured out, you muddy up the water again. Ok, shall we call it Vitamin C PLUS ? Different compounds make things a bit different relative to use and absorption by the body, expecialy SICK bodies. Remember my classical question ! Do you mean Sick people or Well People ? Consider Calcium and Magnesium for two examples. Many different forms exist. ( Compound Types, Chelates, ect ) Are you going to say, Only ONE Calcium and Only ONE Magnesium exists ? Yes, from a chemist point of view, but from the point of metabolism of the body, different conditions exist, but still... A mineral is a mineral. Where does this leave us ? Not necessarily confusted. Just be careful when you make any positive statement relative to body chemistry, compounds, nutrients. It is not likely they are true in all cases and instances. And if you can get 3 kinds, 5 kinds, or 10 kinds of Vitamin C, take some of all them to be sure you get a good one. Wayne == Someone must have their hand in your pocket.
