2004-02-23 Thread TJ Garland
FYI there is a current 1.5 billion oz. shortgage in the world. This includes
what is needed to cover the short positions of miners and traders. The US
government has NO more stockpile and has to buy on the open market to make
the coins.-vs.3 billion oz. in 1950. There is no cheap replacement for
silver and the above and below ground inventories are being used up at a
rate of 300mm oz. a year. The total current inventory above ground in vaults
and warehouses available is estimated a ~300mm oz. At $6 per TO, that is
$1.8 billion. If the price of Cisco stock goes up $1 that would be $1.8
billion. 75% of silver comes from the by product of primarily copper
mining. IOW, higher silver prices will not increase silver production very
much. Silver is a industrial metal that is used up in thousands of consumer
items. The Chinese are buying up gold, silver, nickel, copper, etc. because
of all the Wallmart money. After 55 years it is now legal for the Chinese
people to own gold. Take 50,000 tons of available gold and divide by 2
billion Chinese- that is one half ounce each,if they all want some. Some say
they were Sam's silent partner in the chain. BTW, made in USA stands for
Union of Southeast Asia.

Evening Ian,

I just paid $295 before taxes for 30 feet of this wire - a total weight
of

217kg .

Three or Four years ago, I got 100 feet for about that same price or
less.

Have to compare the diameter. That is very close to AWG 18.

The wire I got is either AWG 12 or AWG 14. ( Calipers not handy )

 AWG 18 = .0403 AWG 16 = .0508 AWG 14 = .0641 AWG 12 =
.0808

I can't believe the prices have changed that much.

I have purchased 200 feet since I started with CS, about 5 years ago.

No I did not use it all. Others did.

I can't recall where I got the wire, but is must be the grade that was
stated.

Re: CSFine Silver Wire - Source

2004-02-21 Thread Arnold Beland
Hello All,

The link that Tel mentioned no longer works. We finally managed to make a
proper e-commerce website at www.abeland1.com. The price of silver has gone
up dramatically in the past few months, possibly an indicator of inflation to
come. I am now selling it for $13 per ounce with a copy of my certificate of
assay.

Best Regards,
Arnold Beland
