Anyone have any success in Massachusetts calling national grid and having them move the smart meter from your home ?? Yes. I had it done by my electrician and I can feel the difference in the room closest to the meter. Re: CSSmart meters
Installation here appears to be legally imperative immanent - I am urgently researching going completely off grid but this takes time this is my 4th attempt at finding some one to come quote then be prepared to do the job! - hoping the company will give me a quote that is manageable - however should the Smartmeter 'get in first' I wondered if aluminium foil would be sufficiently protective? I have those Alfoil baking dishes (the disposable type) much thicker than the cooking foil? I thought layers of them might be sufficient? I gather ours are read by local EMF towers - no meter maid required. Jane Yes. I had it done by my electrician and I can feel the difference in the room closest to the meter. PT
Re: CSSmart meters
I have been told that aluminum foil will not do the job. Aluminum actually conducts electricity quite well. When I purchased this house it was already installed. Where I lived before I was there when they came to change it out. I had called the power company and told them I was sensitive to the fields it radiated and I did not want it installed and they did not install one for me. Unfortunately I lived on the end of the building and there were 7 others on the wall... so I moved! Once it is in they will tell you they don't have the analogue meters any longer. It seems there is a movement to bring them back for people who are sensitive but it hasn't happened yet... at least in Florida. Good luck. Be persistent. RE: CSSmart meters
PT, Did you use aluminum foil or something else? I've read that thick multiple layers of aluminum foil will block the microwaves but I'm not sure.
