Nope.
DH has been hurting badly from a bad back. We just lowered his blood
pressure 20 points on top and 17 on the bottom with a few minutes of deep
breathing. It works, smoker or not.

Hallo Debbie,

To strengthen lungs :

Lie face down on bed or carpet. Bring your arms up folded in front of you. you
may place
your face on your back of your hand, or lift your head and shoulders up a bit.
Now bend your
legs so bottom of feet face the ceiling. then wave your feet sideways like
windscreen wipers
going in opposite directions. First to make legs flop out and then to cross
your body. do for at
least three minutes twice a day but longer and more often may be very
beneficial.

'Nother thing to protect you. Use symbology which concurs with your path. When
doing your
breathing, please do visualise the very best, cleaning and protecting "stuff"
entering your
lungs and then when leaving, carrying the crud you no longer need in there. As
it leaves it is
transmuted into good for all. For me I usually 'see' white or blue entering,
brown leaving
which immediately changes to sparkly clear.

Be very well,

tonym

Re: CS>Bad chest cold

2008-02-03 Thread Clayton Family
I agree with this. There are a series of breathing exercises that used
to be done in GB, and my pediatrician got ahold of them and had me do
them. This would have been in the early 60's. Now I know them to be
based on yoga. It really does help to do this kind of thing, and also
to get fresh air. Not only does it build lung capacity, but there are
some wastes that we need to expell from our lungs- just eat garlic and
see how the smell comes out of the lungs!

When I had pleurisy after surgery once, I had to do breathing exercises
in the hospital. It was very painful, but it is necessary to force the
air down into the entire lung to heal. It also promotes lung health in
general.
