[sipx-users] SIPLABS: Request for feedback (sipX/openUC-related project ideas and plans)

2012-10-31 Thread Михаил Родионов
Hello,

For those who doesn't know us - we are Siberian (Russia)-based system
integration company promoting sipXecs/openUC.
You probably heard of us developing Yealink plugin.

We believe in sipXecs/openUC as future huge ecosystem market and want to be
part of it as extension/addon/custom developers.
Since we are self-funded, correct decision making is extremely important
for us so we need your (end users, installers, supporters) input on
priorities and market potential.

We are now 4.6-focused (in terms of development) and have some
ideas (listed below) we evaluated from technical point of view and
estimated as really doable.

Now I dare asking for your comments/opinions/criticism on. Are our ideas
worth implementing at all? If yes - what's most important for you?
Would your clients (our yourself) pay for a license? Would you or your
clients fund free product development? Should there be two versions (free
and commercial)? We will appreciate any input!

Major project ideas (need community discussion):
- Sophisticated integrated (implemented as a server role) call recording
system based on policy-based RTP proxying.
- Advanced managed (implemented as a server role) SBC (probably SEMS-based)
- Video calls using web cameras feature using special desktop software
agent (four-legged calls), video conference bridge integration (by proxying
and mixing combined call before passing it to the MCU)
- "Marketplace" - repository management/package management/package
deployment system

Minor project ideas (will be 100% free and open source, need only
priorities voting):
- Custom freeswitch extensions editor/manager
- Support page (displays installer contacts/helpdesk information, maybe
request form)
- calling number filtering/routing dialplan entry (for
blacklisting/VIP-calls etc)
- Custom web server role (for server-side phone integration scripts like
phonebook search and server side of XML apps)

Thanks in advance for your input!

[sipx-users] Having trouble retrieving parked calls using Digium G100 T1 Gateway

2012-10-31 Thread Richard Bruce
I am attempting to set up a Digium G100 T1 Gateway on a SipXecs 4.4.0x
server. The G100 seems to have issues with REFER as I've experienced with
some other gateways. I was able to get around a transfer issue by creating
route to send transferred extensions back to the SipXecs server. I still
have an issue with the Call Park. I was able to create the same kind of
route to transfer calls to the Call Park number, but when I try to retrieve
the parked call I have similar issues to another recent post. I hear a
quick cut in the On Hold Music on the callers end like it is trying to
transfer, but then goes back to hold and I cannot retrieve the call.

This is a capture of the SIP info:

2012-10-31 Thread Bryan Anderson
That's what I was afraid. As I said in my original email, the Polycom
website seems to be a bit confused on that. the "Compare models" says yes,
but the rest says no. Like some one else said, it has two lines and the
light, it should.

Thanks,

2012-10-31 Thread Josh Patten
Before you spend any more time on this, the Polycom 32x/33x phones do not
have BLF monitoring capabilities. You must have a 450 or higher (excluding
conference phones) to perform presence monitoring.

Re: [sipx-users] Subscribe forwarding 4.4.0-update #22

2012-10-31 Thread Elwin Formsma
Hi,

This results in BLF's being broken in some cases.
Also, at one client of ours this seems to result in the sipXproxy running out
of resources because they have loads of call forwardings.

In my opinion a SUBSCRIBE is only ment for the endpoint you are subscribing to
and should not be forwarded, hence my question :)

[sipx-users] SSL REST interface broken

2012-10-31 Thread Kyle Haefner
Hi All,

I'm running a new install of 4.6 updated yesterday, I have turned off the
firewall.
I am getting a fabulously ambiguous "Unknown SSL protocol error in
connection to"
error when I try REST calls over SSL. They work just fine over the
unencrypted port 6667.

Any ideas?

Re: [sipx-users] Polycom Soundpoint IP 331

2012-10-31 Thread Bryan Anderson
@Michael - I have tried 3.2.5 that I then upgraded to 3.2.7 then I tried
another phone with 3.2.4. I haven't tried 3.2.6, but will tonight.

@Tony - I am going to be a bit dense here and I hope you will excuse me, I
am not sure if you mean "make sure the blf is entered as "1234" in speed
dial" on the phone or on the SipXecs web interface? It shows on the phone
tell I check the box for presence. The park extension is 801 and that is
how I have it entered. I will run preflight as well.

Bellow is the config in the SipXecs web interface.

Re: [sipx-users] Polycom Soundpoint IP 331

2012-10-31 Thread Michael Picher
You do want to make sure that you are on firmware 3.2.6 and bootrom 4.3.1.

You can upload the zip files in Devices -> Device Files.

2012-10-31 Thread Bryan Anderson
Sorry, I did send the profile between each change. It is in 4.4, I
performed a yum update last night after updating the bootrom. I have also
tired another phone that has bootrom 4.3.1 and firmware 3.2.4.

I will fire up my 4.6 machine tonight and pull the updates and see if it
works on there maybe.

Thanks.

Eureka! I found the problem...somewhat. I've clearly chased bug into
cfengine and we're using a feature we really don't need to have
(abortclasses). This feature fails on random machines and most of the
time. I finally got the error. Anyway, fix should be in next build.

Thanks all for being patient.

If you sent the profile to the phone a rebooted it it should show up. You
never said whether you sent the profile or not.

I don't think I saw this mentioned, is this sipXecs 4.4 or 4.6?

In either case I guess please yum update to the latest... There was a
recent patch for 4.6 that addresses this.
