Michael,

thanks for the 'torrent fix tip'!

it seems my md5sum utility is broken/back level, so, i think the downloads
are ok, but, i think both my cd writers had it..?, I think I've made more
coasters in the last 24 hours that I made in the last few years, I'll copy
ISOs to usb stick, and try making CDs elsewhere

ouch. try starting a torrent download of a faulty iso you already
have. stop it a few
minutes in and copy the faulty iso over the top of the start of the
torrent download,
then start the torrent again. It should do a checksum of the chunks,
throw away the '

I'm looking all over the place for a CentOS 5 DVD ISO (not a torrent,
optus (or my fiances father) throttles the connections because
they/he thinks its funny.

I've found a pacific mirror location where I pull off around 1.5mbps
but thats for 6 different files - I'd really like to just have it all
on the one DVD.

Suggestions!
Many thanks.

It's the audit subsystem reporting that you've triggered SELinux.

Fix the SELinux context on the config.inc.php file. I wished you'd
mentioned what directory, since the wrong context on a public_html
directory is a common problem:

[SLUG] CentOS - dual AMD MP System

2006-07-09 Thread Kenneth Armstrong, White Property Group P/L

Hi everyone,

Well forgive me if this is a basic newbie question.

I am about to embark on building up a new file/mail server for our
small office. I currently have redhat 8 running on an 8yr old PII 350 with 380M
ram – and its just not coping well anymore.

The new server will recycle my old (recently superseded) workstation

Dual processor with 2 x AMD MP 1800’s (Tyan s2466n motherboard)

2 Gb Ram

It has a 60Gb ide drive and is getting 2 new 160Gb Ide’s with a PCI
Raid controller card

I’m moving to CentOS 4 for this build

I am confident with installing the server OS

My question I have not been able to
answer yet is confirming that the CentOS build will support & use the dual
AMD MP’s

Any other tips / recommendations would be appreciated

The mail server app is called “InsightServer” by Bynari
(from Dallas texas) it’s pretty stable once its running properly (that
took a bit to start with), however the beauty is it gives you close to 100% MS
exchange server functionality at simply an annual maintenance & upgrades
fee – outlook connects pretty seamlessly with it.

File serving I have been using Samba

We have about 20G of critical file data & our mailboxes run to
around 15- 20G

Thanks for any comments
