[RCSE] "TSA update from Sportube"
Hey Gordy, I just got off the phone with someone high up in the TSA. Amongst other things we are going to supply the TSA with ski/snowboard installation instructions and more importantly re-locking instructions. While the re-packing instructions donât really apply to you, what I did learn is that you can request a âprivate or individualâ screening with the TSA. You need to arrive at the airport at least 30 mins prior to what you normally would and request the screen at the time of check-in. Once the TSA have checked your case, it is marked in such a manner that will (hopefully) prevent any additional screening. I hope that helps. Happy new year. Paul http://www.sportube.com

Re: [RCSE] K & B primer/filler
Harley, contact KlassKote in Richfield, MN. They produce a paint line that is compatable with the K&B Epoxy. I've been using their epoxy primer and found it to be identical to the old K&B line. I think their web site is: www.klasskote.com If that doesn't work get back to me and I'll look up their phone number. For those that miss the old K & B products, point your browser over to www.klasskote.com. I haven't tried the primer since I've just been painting molds. Re: [RCSE] K & B primer/filler
Harley, What you want is this: Klass Kote White Primer #55 Klass Kote Primer Catalyst #415 You get it at: http://www.klasskote.com/ The stuff is identical (as far as I can tell) to the K&B that can no longer be had. I have used both the Klass Kote paint and primers, and both work great. They have online ordering that also seems to work. One question: What is this "wood structure" of which you speak? ;-) Gordon At 05:37 PM 12/29/2004 -0800, Harley Michaelis wrote: Years back I was able to get the 2-part K & B primer-filler. Re: [RCSE] K & B primer/filler
Harley! www.klasskote.com It seems exactly the same like Hobby Poxy and K&B paints, primers, etc. I have been using old parts with new ones interchangeably with decent results I am using it on my scale gliders with fraction of gelcoat weight Very powerful paint per volume/per money. Very light - One of the kind and very practical - brush, spray gun, Q-tip on FG, fabric , wood ... on anything fades with the time , but very little and stays that way Zbigniew Michalczyk The Soaring Little Fleet of Poland http://mysite.verizon.net/vze2qbfc/ - Original Message - From: "Harley Michaelis" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Cc: "Johnny Berlin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, December 29, 2004 8:37 PM Subject: [RCSE] K & B primer/filler Years back I was able to get the 2-part K & B primer-filler. [RCSE] I saw the perfect thermal today
As I was arriving at work down in Fremont, CA, I looked off to the west, where we have a large aviary preserve - essentially marsh land, estuaries of brackish water in the south Bay Area. Also a garbage dump. But it makes a wonderful area to walk through, and marvel at the wide range of birds - ducks, seagulls, sandpipers, greebs, egrets, hawks, doves, pelicans - the list goes on... In a vast stream of seagulls that must have numbered thousands, the birds rose in a circling column of air that extended from the ground all the way to a beautiful dark base of a puffy cumulus - thanks to post frontal conditions. The column was maybe 200 feet across, and drifted back and forth a bit - but you could clearly see the circling path of the birds as they rose all the way to the misty base of the cloud, some 1500-2000' AGL. Sometimes nature provides us with the most awe inspiring views imaginable...totally unexpectedly. Made my day. -- Tom Rust Nanochip Inc 48041 Fremont Blvd Fremont, CA 94538 (510) 770-2507 (510) 339-6263 (510) 339-9636 FAX (510) 912-4662 cell http://www.nanochip.com RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. Do you recommend light, medium or heavy starch? Cliff Lindgren -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, December 28, 2004 5:53 PM To: Soaring@airage.com Subject: [RCSE] Mylar Curl A while back, suggestions were offered for taking the curl out of mylars that had been in storage for a long time. I've lost the original list but whoever suggested ironing, thank you, that REALLY worked. First time around I didn't get it hot enough but a new planform (and mylars) led to desperation and it was re-tried. At 'Perm Press' nothing happened. By 'Wool' it started to flatten out. When you get to 'Cotton' and beyond, the mylar may stretch and warp too much. So for you house-husband domestic types with curly mylars, set the iron between wool and cotton, add a little steam, cover the mylar with a light cotton towel and start ironing. Don't let it sit in any one place but keep going back and forth slowly for about 5 minutes. Flip it over and do it again. Let it cool down a bit under the towel and you'll have mylars that are REALLY flat. Thanks for the suggestion. Apologies for losing track of the original source.
