[RCSE] NCSH Association aka NCSS

2005-10-20 Thread Cliff E-Mail
Northern California Sheepherders Association formerly known as Northern
California Slope Soarers needs YOU!

Wanted: Sheepherders for lost Sheep. Baaa...Baaa...Baaa!!

AMA approved club, (NCSH association formerly known as Northern California
Slope Soarers) seeks Shepherd's to administer and direct certain members in
every step, breath, and cerebellum function for even the most menial of
tasks and decisions. Forthcoming elections will most likely
displace/replace the current pseudo-dysfunctional faction in charge,
(maybe.maybe not) and many members/Ewes/lambs (no Rams with testicles, so
don't worry about sheep wandering off with other leaders) in need of
direction will be seeking guidance from ~anyone~. Urgent/immediate
response and help is requested, as these wandering clubbers just need/have
to be told what to do, and the forthcoming changing of the guard has them in
a quandary. We call on the vast diversity of the soaring community to help
this wandering bleating flock. Is there help out there in the soaring
community? Let these Sheep feel the love! Join NCSS Group Yahoo and give
the love that is so needed! Thank you for your help!

Cliff Lindgren

P.S. Please help soon. I can't sleep at night. I keep waking up after
hearing the mournful bleating and the pitter patter of little lamb's hooves
running around in confused circles.

[RCSE] ECHLGF pilots - please read

2005-10-20 Thread Oleg Golovidov
I did not get any new registrations since the weekend, so I guess we
will have to split all those nice raffle prizes between the 24 of us (or
probably fewer, since some people will not show up as usual). Pilots,
please bring a lot of cash for the raffle tickets :-)

I will start the clinic about 1pm on Friday to give everybody a chance
to get to the field and trim their models. After a quick speach (I am
really not a great speaker) I will try to answer your questions, and
then we will run a few practice rounds to simulate the real contest
environment for those of you who have not flown in a contest or simply
would like to practice. I posted HLG clinic notes on the web-site
http://olgol.com/contest/clinic.html - this is based largely on my
previous seminar 2-3 years ago at the MidSouth contest, slightly
expanded. Phil Barnes agreed to help me with the clinic, and he is great
at teaching and explaining stuff, so between the two of us we should be
able to handle all questions. I will print out and bring hard copies of
the clinic notes to the field.

We will start the pilots meeting at 9:00am on Saturday and the first
round immediately after that.

See you all this weekend!
Oleg.

[RCSE] Airtronics Thermal Eagle for sale

2005-10-20 Thread George Voss
Title: Airtronics Thermal Eagle for sale

Ive got a very good condition, RTF Airtronics Thermal Eagle. All youll need to do is change crystals, program and fly! This would make a good slope ship, or back up F3B plane, or just a good knock-around Thermal plane. $500 includes shipping.

[RCSE] [Fwd: Spektrum Signal: Telemetry and the 2.4GHz DX6]

2005-10-20 Thread Jimmy Andrews

For those who have not already seen this...

---

October 20, 2005

Spektrum Telemetry Module: Real-time Information for Real Racers.

If you’re driving with a Spektrum DSM 2.4GHz system, adding real-time
telemetry can complete your advantage. Spektrum’s real-time Telemetry
Module, available for both nitro and electric cars, is a tool that no
serious racer will want to do without—it’s a tool that instantly
delivers the kind of data that’ll help you tweak your car for the
absolute maximum in performance. With Spektrum’s Telemetry Module,
you’ll get engine-saving feedback to help maximize performance while
preventing costly failures and rebuilds. The elimination of dumped
receiver packs means no more crashes or DNFs due to battery failure in
nitro-powered vehicles. Besides that, Spektrum Telemetry’s lap timing
helps you analyze the effectiveness of tire and gear selections,
suspension tweaks, etc. Add its rpm sensing to give you a handle on your
car’s actual speed, plus the Quality of Signal feature to monitor RF
link strength, and you’! ve got the whole package.

Introducing the Revolutionary 2.4GHz Spread Spectrum DX6.

Now sport park flyer, foamie and micro-heli fans can fly with the
no-pins, no-crystals, no-glitches, no-interference freedom and security
of 2.4GHz Spektrum DSM technology.

Sounds like a dream, doesn’t it? It’s no dream. It’s the way you’ll fly
with Spektrum’s 2.4GHz DX6 radio. You’ll say goodbye to channel concerns
at flying fields. Glitching and range impairment from motor, servo, ESC
and mechanical RF “noise” will be a thing of the past.
