Sheldon's Hobbies (http://mysheldonshobbies.com/ ) had a stack of
them in the back room that they didn't advertise. Any time that we
wanted one we e-mailed them and they'd dig one out for us. I don't
know if they have them anymore but it might be worth giving them a
call or and e-mail.

Happy flying,

It seems like there would be a market in nostalgia kits for folks like me.

He says that very time he makes a turn it goes into a death spiral of about

opposite rudder and pull up when he has gained enough speed.

I'm trying to explain how we make our full flying stabs to a friend

to make a two piece stab that can be removed for transport and then
plugged in at the field. Does anyone know of a website that explains
how to do it?

Thanks,

Just got back home from the Cincinnati Memorial contest which was the first=

incidents included: a smoking winch, which just happened to occur while I =
was launching my Icon... ( I think it was a coincidence of wind and wear so=
they gave me a relaunch), A turn around was pulled out of the ground while=
I was shagging chutes and flew over me and luckily landed 50 feet away. It=
travelled over a 100 feet in the air! Did I mention the ground and grass w=
as muddy and marshy from 5 days of previous rain? There were some interesti=
ng launches where various parts departed on the way up including ; a v-tail=
shearing off, Steve Sebenalar's fuselage boom snapping in half, a Genie ha=

, and several others. Many a wingtip and fuse was broken or bent just tryin=
g to land. I somehow escaped mostly unscathed with only a new crease in the=
bottom skin of my wing. Saturday was all 6 minute tasks and it was difficu=

was a little better weather with 10 minute tasks all day and some huge lift=
did come by in irregular cycles if you were lucky to be the group that was=

Thanks to the CSS group for hosting this event. WOW that was some crazy
wind. As for my Supra in the tree - THANK YOU Gordy!!! I was ready to

was my doing. 8^)

Thanks to all that braved the conditions.

[RCSE] TMSS/ESL Contest a success!

2008-05-19 Thread Glaab, Louis J. (LARC-D205)
Good afternoon,

For those who weren't there, we flew 13 rounds of MOM this weekend in some very
nice weather conditions in Smithfield, Virginia. Many great aerial battles
took place with only a few encounters with the Bull living in the pasture just
down-wind of the field ;-). In addition, many flyers took part in the
LSF-Ladder event and everyone had a great time. Saturday's Après' Soaring
session on Smithfield Station's Deck on the Pagan river in the spectacular
evening conditions was also a great time. I appreciate all those who helped to
make this event a success and look forward to doing it again next year.

Thanks, Josh.
