[RCSE] Tennessee 'titan' kills in Orlando Open Class
Brian Smith decended Sunday with a vengence er I mean a Super V! Just goes to show that there is plenty of talent hiding in the flat lands of Tullahoma Tennessee. Brian has been at it for a while (probably psyching us all out waiting for his opportunity to pounce (or land :-) and really enjoys competing. Tied with getting to fly awesome places, flying with guys like Brian is the best part of my travels. Tullahoma has a couple of contests each year and their field is huge and full of thermals. Its surrounded by Pine tree forests and easy to get to off of Hyw 65 or even Hyw 40. You guys can fly into Nashville, do some sight seeing at the Opry, grab some Ribs, stop at Hobby Lobby, fly some slope at their Dam, then head down to fly. Yes there is great soaring between the coasts! You can contact Brian at [EMAIL PROTECTED] for congratulations and info on contests. You could do worse, Brian just won a contest! :) Gordy, Stahl'd in Orlando

He just got a little distracted by the EVIL POWER PLANES for a while. His return is going to move a lot of us down a notch in the Contest Results Pecking Order but it will be worth it to have Brian back. He is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Even when he wasn't flying Sailplanes, he would bring his winch set-up to contests and sit out all day in the hot sun operating it.
