[RCSE] Level V slideshow
Hi John I have never met you as I am in AUS [Australia] but I enjoyed the slideshow and the music. It looks like you have great friends and it shows what a great and varied sport we have. It shows the value of the LSF and levels programme and as I happened to be one of the helpers for Australia's first level V , I saw it can be very tough. A hearty WELL DONE MATE! What a fantastic journey, congrats on making it to level V! Here's a picture I bet you wish I didn't have: ;-) http://www.jimbacus.net/soaring/nats2004resnos/pages/DSC02352.htm At 07:09 PM 9/7/2006, John Erickson wrote: I ve put together a slideshow of different events as I worked my way through the LSF program. Good Jerry Douglas music, John. And of course, congratulations on the wonderful job of climbing to level V.
Re: [RCSE] Level V slideshow
Title: Level V slideshow John, Thanks for sharing, A Level V could not go to a nicer guy. To help average out your 2.5 year trek, I have been working on mine on and off now since 1977 or 78. I still need a goal and return to get me Level IV and then the real fun begins. I should have worked a little harder in the early years when I used to actually win occasionally, even at the bigger contests. Oh well, I figure I have several more years to pursue the goal. Then there is always Laser Eye Surgery to extend it a few more years after that. Congrats on a job well done. [RCSE] Level V task completed
Paul Siegel completed his two hour TD task today. Steve Sieblenaler, Walt VanGorder and I were there to witness. I attempted the task as well, but found major sink at about 1 hour and 10 minutes; aargh Paul completely lost sight of his AVA at one point, got it back with spoilers out and loops. I had my Topaz to 2, 400 feet via Piccolario, very small Topaz indeed. Lots of strong up today, as you might imagine, some strong sink as well. [RCSE] level V
Guys - The LSF level V plaque was presented to me today, with great hoopla and much ceremony, at the LSF contest here in Huntsville. Damn, it feels GOOD! Many thanks to all who helped. If you are reading this you were probably instrumental to the accomplishment of this long held goal. For those of you still seeking - hang tough, it can be done, and it does feel good.
