RE: [RCSE] Pike Superior ??
I've put some assembly notes on my Pike Superior here: http://www.badger.rchomepage.com/pikesup.html Right now it's a showdown between the Big 4: Pike, Icon, Supra and Escape to see which I prefer. Warren From: Marta Zavala [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: soaring@airage.com Subject: [RCSE] Pike Superior ?? Date: Fri, 27 May 2005 21:17:55 -0700 Bought a new carbon Pike Superior and am building it out this weekend. Its going to be a piece of cake as I got the premade wiring harness with it. I hate making the wiring harness for any plane-this harness is really a time saver for me. The plane comes with the servo tray/bulkhead already installed in the fuse. The cut outs for the ele/rudder servos are already made and leave little room for anything much bigger than say a 368/etc. What are you guys using for your elevator? Also, how are you getting adequate TD type flap travel on your top actuated flaps? Thanks, Walter RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. RE: [RCSE] Pike Superior ??
Warren, it looks like a nice quiver. Appears as your ready for just about any condition. Since I have Escapes, I wouldn't mine adding any of the other three to my selection. Soon Any back order on new Pikes? Who has them? Re: [RCSE] Pike Superior xtail/Icon??
ICON Because it was designed and built in the USA by some gentlemen that I really respect. And it works really well. This will be my 5th season flying ICON's. Both the models you mention are quite capable, though. It doesn't have to be a binary choice, get the one that you can find now to fly, and plan for the acquisition of the one you want in the future. RE: [RCSE] Pike Superior xtail/Icon??
Icon No Doubt! Why? Status. If you lose with an Icon you have no one to blame but yourself. Yes they are outrageously expensive but you asked an open question. Ever wonder why you never see Icon's for sale used? gv -Original Message- From: gldr guy [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, April 15, 2004 11:19 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [RCSE] Pike Superior xtail/Icon?? RE: [RCSE] Pike Superior xtail/Icon??
I couldn't agree with you more Jim. Don is truly talented and one of the nicest people I have ever met (I was lucky enough to meet him at the SWC this past Feb). Even after I received my Icon, Don has followed up with me by phone and e-mail to make sure everything is going together alright. He also promptly responded to an issue I was having with the plane and sent me detailed hand written instructions and a repair kit to correct the issue. Icon - $1800, service after the sale - Priceless. I haven't flown my Icon-lite yet (Saturday will be maiden flight) but I have seen what Jim, Cap'n Jack and others have done with them in the OVSS as well as JW. Now I have no more excuses, pressure is on my flying now. 8^0!! Regards, John Diniz -Original Message- From: James V.
