Re: [RCSE] "Pumpkin Fly, and We Still Don't Know Who or If George Reeves Was Killed!"
Heh. I launch well with my RES ship - I'm still getting the hang of the "ping" with my unlimited ship. Earlier launches had me all over the sky criss crossing winch lines and what not. That last one was straight up the line with good speed, from camber to reflex at the right time and a good dip into a reasonable zoom. So that is why I said it was the best launch I'd had for that plane -- more technically than altitude. Though you certainly can't discount Marc's hustling backward and proceeding to spank the rest of the group with an excellent catch into a thermal. So maybe Gordy is right... either way, lesson learned! And, for the record, I had my plane put away before Marc hit the ground ;) [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Just got back from Hollywoodland, the movie about Superman's actor who either killed himself or was killed by his keeper's rich husband. RE: [RCSE] Pumpkin Fly, what was the other event...
I had family in town from AZ, could not make the event... They dragged me to the boats in Indiana for gambling 'fix' - my question is what was the full size fly-in going on around Cinci? We were driving back on 275 around 2 on Sunday, and we saw a 3 plane formation where literally you could have jumped from one wingtip to the other, this was quickly followed by what I took as an AT-6. The first formation was so odd that I initially thought the middle plane was having problems, although I am not sure what I thought the other ships could do. The Texan looked too out of place not to be going to a show. Just curious, anyone?Brent

Gordy can probably be a pain in he ass if you dont like to read many posts. BUT even in my poor english (yes I am Norwegian) I got an urge to find out more about this guy.. If I just had that magazine.. Even with my poor english I did not find anything wrong. It just made me interrested and that I think was the point of Gordy's post. Maybe I am wrong and no I dont read all the posts at the Soaring exchange (digest member). Or did I miss a post here! Anyhow can someone please send me a copy or take a picture of that Column? Gordy and others. Sorry if I came off a little strong, however I guess I'm just one of many who are a little tired of Gordy's attempt at humor. Then again it could have been the two hours of dental work this morning that was not only uncomfortable but expensive. BTW, the list of those Gordy listed not going to Tangerine are those who WON'T be there to beat him. The registered list is those who WILL beat him. Darwin N.
