Thanks Stephan,

 Hi everyone !

I'm trying to render with two camera (stereo) and the hardware renderer.
I cannot use the stereo rig
I cannot use the camera sequencer.

In the render pass, the Pass Camera parameter is set to the camera group
In the Render Channel Output I use this : [Pass]_[Framebuffer]_[Camera]

When I render with MR, No problems : All the frame are write on disk
 (Left and right)
But when I use the Hardware renderer : Only the frame for first cam are
 written.
The calculation is done but the files are overwritten (they keep the
 filename of the first cam).

If someone can help me !!!

I must confess that after testing the three versions the most stable by a mile
is the linux version, then the mac version (due to the old OpenGL in H13) and

I am waiting for Houdini 14 and see if OpenGL has been updated to v3.2 which

That's the oddest part of Houdini so far for me, how the viewport can be so
inconsistent and buggy. The way component selections and polygon shading
are displayed can vary a lot between sessions and OGL settings. And
sometimes you just have to close the viewport and open a new one to get it
to update the view correctly, it even happens a bunch of times in some of
the tutorial videos I've watched!

I'm also hoping H14 will bring an end to some of that.. :)

It interfered somehow with the existing network stacks, creating all kinds of

But then again, most of the Apple stuff on Windows does ;-P

Bonjour will severely impact your network performance on Windows. We
have a strict policy here to never install anything that requires it.
Modo701 would not run without it.
Some employees have installed Modo701 at home and have noticed all kinds
of network problems afterwards.

Not sure if it was an app or a license manager, but I can recall when

Hello I saw this thread:Google Groups
For some reason I can´t reply to it on my google groups (I always check this

and also Xbox Controller driving parameters via Mojoke drivers.
If anyone of you guys had the opportunity to work with this setup, I´d like to
read about your experience. And -If by any chance- Eric Cosky gets to read this,
I hope It can add up to this subject.
Original post was somewhere back on 2012 for which I assume, now it´s a good
time to ask how´s the progress on this.Cheers.

can’t see how Apple could possibly need that – this market is much too small
(+professional, specialized and difficult) to offer anything to a giant such as
Apple. They need an ‘app’ they can sell in the millions, and that runs on
phones and tablets, and doesn’t require any thinking by the user.
Now a very simple effects-for-home-videos app – an AfterFX extra-light. Perhaps.

Yes indeed, sorry if I wasn't clear in
my sarcasm, those are the exact reasons why it -didn't-
really-really need to buy (and kill) shake.

They bought it, made it for Mac (and Linux) only, made a version
or two, and then ditched it.

Not unlike Soft which also wasn't really-really needed by a
  company with already 2+ DCC's.
(could have bought Naiad to make an ICE clone without sacrificing
  Soft,
it wouldn't have had more or less chances of becomeing a good
  clone)

But I don't understand ditching (compared to other ways of getting
  rid of things) ,
except of course when ditching is the reason to buy something,
any of which I find very-very selfish.

Hopefully TheFoundry will find a better home who will value their
products (and the communities around them)
and that they will be complimentary to what they already offer.

I could see ADSK buying Foundry for Nuke\Mari\Katana. ADSK doesn’t have similar

It's owned by an investment group. They sell in a particular hurry ESPECIALLY
when something is going well. You sell at peak value shortly after a round of
re-valuing purchases and hype, when cash value is high for returns, and
earnings prospects are high to entice buyers.

As for who'll be buying, I'd be surprised if it was AD, but can't rule it out,
a media group or an unexpected games-side player or something like that seems
more likely though.

Or maybe DS will decide to piss in AD's cornflakes buying it, but I doubt they
are willing to shell out 200-250M pounds for such an unfamiliar patents package
and software they have no cross-sales potential or sales network to merge and
reduce in.

I hope they don't !!!  again,  if they belong to the same owner  there wont be
any need to innovate as is been in the case of maya and max after they belong
to autodesk, there was no need to compete against each other so  it happen what
is happening right now.  killing apps.
as long there is competition, companies will innovate, products will be cheaper
for the consumer,  will be more market,   I will shift your opinion for a
better world.
lets ask autodesk to make a good compositing app.   oh wait they DID! autodesk
composite before was toxik,  and same story happen.
I really hope they don't buy it.
(sorry been a little sarcastic,  is late and I am stuck in a project LOL...)

could see ADSK buying Foundry for Nuke\Mari\Katana. ADSK doesn’t have similar
toolsets and that would be reason enough to shore up their tool chain.    That
would be the final pieces to their monopoly.    From:
