Re: Controlling a parameter live via slider through scripting
I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet, but I think it's because you are inspecting the PPG in siModal mode. siModal will give you a box to say OK or Cancel, but yes, changes are not reflected live in the scene. This is what modal means. On 05/11/13 21:59, Christian Gotzinger wrote: Hi list, My script generates a bevel operator on an object. I then want a PPG to pop up that allows the user to change certain parameters of the bevel operator. These parameters should update whenever the values in the PPG are changed. However, they only update after the PPG is closed via OK. Can someone point me in the right direction here? Script is roughly as follows: # Lots of stuff after which a bevel operator (op) is generated MyPSet = A.ActiveSceneRoot.AddProperty(CustomProperty, False, Bevel_Options) MyLayout = MyPSet.PPGLayout MyPSet.AddParameter3(PBevelRatio, c.siFloat, 10, 0.01, 100) MySlider = MyLayout.AddItem(PBevelRatio, Ratio, c.siControlNumber) A.InspectObj(MyPSet, , Choose Bevel Options, c.siModal, False) op.Parameters(ratio).Value = MyPSet.Parameters(PBevelRatio).Value Thank you Christian

Re: Ultra sound or MRI scan formats to common 3D formats?
Have a look at DeVIDE http://graphics.tudelft.nl/Projects/DeVIDE It uses, among other libraries, VTK for visualisation and processing. I managed to convert custom-made slices into MRI type formats using this. From memory, you can make processing graphs with a node editor, and I'm pretty sure you could use these graphs to then process stuff from the commandline, but I could be wrong. Good luck! On 19/04/13 20:23, Darren Blencowe | VA wrote: Hi Folks, Just putting this out there in case anyone has done this thing before - Does anyone know how/tried to turn any ultra sound scan file types or MRI data into something remotely 3D - and in a format that is 3D package friendly? I am still digging but it appears the majority of scan formats are 2D sections/plans not *really* 3D? I've found this link http://www.mccauslandcenter.sc.edu/mricro/dicom/ This is quite a common scan data format but again on skimming appears to be only 2D/sectional. Useful nuggets would be: scan file formats that are definitely 3D any small apps/programs that can change these into .stl .vrml .obj or even .dxf any help gratefully received! Thanks, D.
