It's the cp1252 in the line with the OS info. An this is what I have as
well.
But my LMS handles a music file with the name in question without
problems. It's added after a rescan and I can play it.
My LMS on Win10 uses the same Perl, AudioScan and SQlite versions as
yours but I have LMS 7.9.2.
Maybe you should consider using the latest LMS, even if not for this
issue.

While guessing is always an option, using programs that support Unicode
is one also.

Found another program that has issues with the file name - frhed (free
hex editor). To me it appears there's something invalid in the file name
that some programs can handle and some programs can't. So I believe the
error is in wherever DBPoweramp gets the file name. Now that I've found
a 2nd program that can't open this file I think I'll just be happy using
my renamed copy of the song. Just another FYI, I bought the album from
Amazon so it's not the version of the album from Target with the 2 bonus
songs exclusively available from Target or target.com.

Maybe. That's where the music was when using Settings / Basic Settings /
Browse.

Thank you, I already solved this issue. :D I was merely concerned for
others.

Plugin-Page: I guess there were problems with some plugins, preventing
the site to load. Not using my old settings and installing from scratch
solved this. The problems seems to be the update and not the updated
version.

But there is a very simple solution for this.
There is a very powerful tool available in Linux. And that's sed, which
could solve this with one command. Have to have a look on the right
command options. What you could do, is start to make a backup of the
Playlist files.

Regarding you're thing on the plugin page. Only it there are many
updates avaible, it could load slow.

Gone release b2 tonight. And also give you the right command line to
solve the Playlist issue.

Found the problem: It's the "CACHEDEV1_DATA/" in the path. The version I
used had this in the path to my music, the latest version has not.
That's why my music was not found and my playlists are empty now.
Removing said snippet from the playlist files should restore them.

Try adding --charset=utf8 to your startup parameters to avoid problems
like this. I guess a rescan will be required, too, after changing to
UTF.

No where in the Information tab on WebGUI -> Setting -> Information tab
does it give me encoding info

And yes, stuff like "Blue Öyster Cult" works fine.

Maybe let us know which character encoding is used with your LMS
(WebUi->Settings->Info). Do you have other "not-that-average" :)
characters in other file names and do they work?
