Crap. Thought I had fixed that. Will fix it in a next release.

How would I install the missing SSL perl module on my RaspberryPi and
why is this suddenly required (and not included as part of the plugin
install/upgrade)?

The MAI plugin does require it. But I'd recommend installing it anyway,
as more and more resources become only available over secured connections.

How you install it depends on the OS you're using.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS on MacOS 10.15 "Catalina"?

2019-10-13 Thread Michael Herger

That's correct, it's not part of 7.7.6. I should probably update 7.7.7.

I backported the changes from 7.9 to 7.7.7. Feel free to give this a try
if you don't feel like taking the step up to 7.9.

2019-10-13 Thread mr-b

I've just noticed in the PCP LMS web ui that the network mount point is
no longer ticked under Enabled.

If I try to Set Mount it says:
Disk Mount Error. Try to Reboot
but a reboot still can't mount the drive, even though the share is
visible.

Hmm, Ok off I go to the PCP thread! ;-)

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS thinks audio files are deleted if remote library has been offline

2019-10-13 Thread mr-b

My system comprises a PCP and LMS running on a RPi with my library files
stored on a Windows share.

PCP was playing fine and then later a certain track wouldn't play. I saw
that my PCP couldn't connect to the LMS (also running on the RPi) and so
I rebooted it. I noted it flagged it couldn't mount the music library on
my Windows server so I checked and it was offline for some reason. I
restarted the server and it came back fine.

Music files still wouldn't play so I checked the server.log:

Then I tried a Look for New media scan and saw that it was deleting a

So why does it think that all my audio files are deleted after the
library has returned?
Does the fact that it's gone offline once mean they are flagged for
subsequent deletion, even if they subsequently come back?

Thanks, I think also for manual installation of plugin files, the
/qpkg/LogitechMediaServer/SlimServer/Plugins folder can be used.

Just one more question, if you don't mind. Can we set the current
timezone or time manually in QLMS?

I'm asking because I'm using the custom clock plugin applet to display
various info in the controller's screen, but it displays GMT+0 time and
I would like to change that to my timezone. But I understand that the
displayed time might come from somewhere else than QLMS.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Media scan terminates unexpectedly

2019-10-13 Thread rickwookie

Could you share the solution with the rest of us?

I'm also getting the same failed media scan after updating 'Music and
Artist Information' to v1.6.7 today.

Media scan terminated unexpectedly (Scanning Progress)

>From the scan log:

Code:

[19-10-13 13:31:07.8777] main::main (341) Error: Failed when running scan
post-process: [Undefined subroutine &IO::Socket::SSL::set_defaults called at

 line 175.
  ]
  [19-10-13 13:31:07.8791] main::main (342) Error: Not updating lastRescanTime!

How would I install the missing SSL perl module on my RaspberryPi and
why is this suddenly required (and not included as part of the plugin
install/upgrade)?

That's odd - I just reinstalled LMS version 7.7.6 and didn't get a
darwin-x86_64 folder. Hmmm. What's the full path of your 64-bit folder?

That's correct, it's not part of 7.7.6. I should probably update 7.7.7.

But then I'd recommend to use 7.9 anyway :-).

.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer/directory.

You need to Logon by ssh shell, with a program like putty. Then you do [
cd /share/*/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer/]. Do ls to see the content of the
directory, it should show .QLogitechMediaServer.log a.m.

If so you're in the right directory.

Regarding installing plugins, should be done in the webgui, server
setting, plugins.
