iPeng?? Well... seriously yes! (should I be embarrassed :-). "iPad
therefore iPeng" (sometimes iPhone around a bit too) I use my IOS
devices as controllers more than 95% of the time. If you could suggest
an alternative for IOS 13 I would gladly compare?

But you don't need the iPeng _plugin_ for this. I was only refering to
the plugin, not the app.

A separate issue: Is there a workaround to use spotty without a premium
membership?

No.

Uninstalling Lazy Search had no effect. The good news is that I
uninstalled a number of other older plugins all at once and my behavior
with scans seems to have resolved. I will monitor it in the coming
days.

Still remaining is the issue when I select "restart" while uninstalling
plugins the server only shuts down, it does not restart (obviously not a
big deal and of no concern for me).

A separate issue: Is there a workaround to use spotty without a premium
membership? The podcast content I get from them does not require
premium membership. It would be nice to listen via LMS to those
podcasts I can only get with spotty, but it's not a big deal.

Thanks.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] MusicIP plugin: any way to set an IP address for the music IP Server?

2020-03-17 Thread Blackhawk

I am still using MusicIP quite often to generate automatic playlists.

I am running LMS and MusicIP as two separate docker container, LMS
container running in host network mode, and the MusicIP container
running in bridge network mode. Both containers therefore have the same
IP address.

I want to move the MusicIP container to MACVLAN network mode to avoid
potential TCP/UDP ports conflicts. That would assign a different IP
address to the LMS container. Is there anyway I can specify tell the LMS
server what is the IP of the MusicIP server?

Take this to the piCorePlayer post in Unix/Linux - there is something
wrong with your pCP setup but I don’t know what.
Explain that existing playlists now work ok edit etc but that new
playlists aren’t being written to “playlists” but probably to pCP temp
folder.
I do have a pCP LMS that connects to my Qnap but no access to it until
Thurs

I created a new playlist, did no rescan and searched it with WinSCP.
It's not 'playlists', not in 'music', not in multimedia. So now I asked
WinSCP to search my root of the NAS for every .m3u file since 10=3=2020.
So far, nothing found.

You have found the issue - it needs to be the same throughout

Navigate to the top of "playlists"
Check the box indicated and clcik OK
Every file inside playlists will then be changed to have admin /
administrators and 0777
LMS should then be able to read, write and edit the files as long as you
used admin as the user in the mount settings.

Please post to a new thread describing exactly what you're trying to do.
Where do you try to upload what file etc.? In pCP you can install Lame
from the the pCP web UI. No need to upload anything.

But this has nothing to do with the topic of this thread, which is about
macOS.

This is a stab in the dark, but you could try this as a test (If I am
understanding your problem):

1) Create a new folder path and copy, say, one or two "albums" of music.
Or, just choose one of your 30 folders.
2) Point your LMS to this new folder as the library (LMS settings UI ->
Basic Settings -> Media Folders)
3) Maybe even change the playlist folder to this folder as well (no good
reason)
4) Do a rescan.

If everything works as expected, then maybe start to add your 30 folders
back a few at a time and see if something causes the issue to reappear.
