Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Failed to connect??
LMS is indeed installed on Windows 2012 server. Any ideas how I can update to a newer SSL library. A standard updates I frequently update. Unfortunately no, not yet. Activestate doesn't provide any updated version. Plus they recommend not using the PerlApp tool any more. That's the tool which bundles up Perl modules to one binary. Which means there's a lot of work ahead to further support LMS on Windows :-(. That being said, it still should work. The errors you posted were confusing me, because I haven't seen them reported before. There have been SSL related issues, but not what you posted. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Every time there is a new nightly AVG blocks it. As far as they are concerned a file with very few downloads might be an issue. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] My AVG says LMS-7.9.3 update infected with URL:Blacklist
I'm still getting this message from AVG, on both the server and on my work laptop. Checking the .exe on VirusTotal says "3 engines detected this URL" -- only two in the list, "CLEAN MX" and "G-Data", never heard of either of them. AVG and/or Avast are not in VT's list one way or another. Turned off AVG WebShield for a couple minutes and downloaded. Desktop scans on Malwarebytes and AVG itself both reported the file clean. Haven't yet moved the file over to server to try install. Tried downloading the .msi and .tgz and got a file disposition dialog with no interference from AVG -- apparently it's just the .exe they have a block on. In my experience, URI blacklists need to be cleared by the domain owner (i.e. slimdevices). Just sayin. Side note: LMS has been *trying* to update itself a few times this week, when AVG pops that message LMS gets sort of intermittently "funny" -- squeezelite drops connections, files say they're playing but no audio, etc. ... AVG users experiencing random weirdness overnight who never turn on the monitor on the LMS box might want to check ;-). newgrange28's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16097 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112838 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Text file wrongly used for "Lyrics"
I have just added a live recording to my library which contains a text file describing the recording and containing the set list. For some strange reason LMS has used this text file to populate the lyrics for all the tracks in the folder. This is with the latest LMS 8.0.0. I have never seen this happen before. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS killing; "Out of memory" error
Okay. But was the lack of the SSL module what was causing the OOM (Out Of Memory) error? Unlikely. Was it LMS that caused the OOM? We don't know yet. - LMS runs on top of Perl Yes, LMS is written in Perl. - Some of the modules it uses come from the CPAM, which is a centralised repository of Perl modules created by various people out there CPAN, yes - When I build my LMS package, modules are downloaded from the CAPM and built into the package "against" (is that the proper word) the Perl version I have installed at the time of buillding I don't know how you build LMS. You shouldn't need to build it, as it's not a compiled application, but interpreted from the source whenever you start it. - What may be happening is that the Perl version I have since my recent full update of Arch Linux (an update I performed only because LMS had stopped working in the first place) is no longer compatible with the Perl version that held sway when I built the LMS install package ? That's very well possible. But then I'd be surprised if that caused an OOM. It would rather fail to start or crash hard. And that I need to rebuild the package? Maybe you need to elaborate what you're doing when you build. Or do I need to download a newer version of LMS and start over? When running LMS 8.0 then I'd almost always suggest to run the latest possible. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
