Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Album Naming Glitch Related to Online Music Service Integration?
there is no "Disc 2 of 2" in any of my local library tags. I have since tried unfavoriting the album in Tidal, removing the album from my local library and rescanning and then adding it back in and rescanning again and LMS still displays the wrong album name for CD2. Any ideas on a solution? I can confirm there's an issue with multi-disc online albums. We would have information about the disc number, but the path does not change, nor is the album ID. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Album Naming Glitch Related to Online Music Service Integration?
Here is the scenario: Favorited album (2 CD set) This Is The Moody Blues in Tidal. I have chosen to integrate online albums with my local library in LMS. It shows up under the albums tab on the interface as a single album named This Is The Moody Blues (Disc 2 of 2). This seems to be the default with any 2 CD sets integrated from Tidal (appends Disc 2 of 2 to album name). Within my local library my choice is to display multi disc sets as individual albums. I have since purchased and ripped this 2 CD set album and added it to my local library and did a complete rescan. My choice in OMSI is to display the local album only if it is repeated from the online music provider. Under the album tab in LMS I now see the name I chose for CD1 - This Is The Moody Blues (CD1) but for CD2 it displays This Is The Moody Blues (CD2) (Disc 2 of 2). It seems to be appending the "Disc 2 of 2" from the Tidal album name. I have checked the tags and there is no "Disc 2 of 2" in any of my local library tags. I have since tried unfavoriting the album in Tidal, removing the album from my local library and rescanning and then adding it back in and rescanning again and LMS still displays the wrong album name for CD2. There is no XML file until Music exports it. What I saw before was related to scripting things ... so I had another look and found this https://macscripter.net/viewtopic.php?pid=201433 My guess is that a Mac specialist (probably in a Mac forum) would be able to help tweak/simplify things since if it can be made to export in the iTunes XML format then it will still work with LMS. I'm also on 10.15.7 mac os and while my LMS sees all my music from the new music app location it fails to find my playlists although they appear in the Music application. I was running LMS 7.9 and tried to follow the steps others have taken; I gave perl and bash full disk access along with 5.18 but same results. Everything is ok except the playlists. I tried disabling the iTunes plugin but that made no difference. I got a couple of fatal errors in LMS about two instances of LMS running in the system but that seems to have cleared up. I created a library export from the Music app which creates an xml file which I placed in the Music folder, rescanned but no change other than the scan say there are over 2 thousand playlists (when in fact there are 196) but still shows no playlists. So I'm at a loss. I feel like an english major in a crowd of pre med students, expected to know more than I reasonably could. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Update failed - now LMS won't start
Well, then, I just don't know how to run a scan. How did you do it? Thought I did, but I guess I'm just sending you the same thing over and over and don't know how to create a new one. You'll have to re-download the log file from the server after each scan, using the link in Settings/Information. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I've tried researching this and can't seem to find instructions on how to do it. webnick's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70157 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113289 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Player for Linux (Manjaro) and Win10
Hi, I have LMS on a RPi, which plays to other RPi's with all great I'd like an app to play through my laptop which has Linux (Manjaro) I also boot into Win 10 for work, so an app for Windows would be great A bonus would be if it were the same app on both OS's, but a great app for Linux is more important Sorry for asking such a basic question, but searching for Linux player on these forums is not easy due to huge number of hits :) Thanks LeighS's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66962 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113334 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Remote access
Morning all. I've now got unlimited mobile data and would like to access my LMS on the go. My server sits on an always-on windows 10 laptop which might hopefully make setup a little easier. I've found this: https://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Connecting_remotely.html However, it is recommended to use a VPN. Is there a guide out there how to set it up? I've played in the past with VPNs but it was a long time ago; is there a guide anywhere how to set up LMS for remote access? Thanks in advance.
