[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Playlists

2021-12-28 Thread Mattyrow

Hi

Im in the process of putting all my music to LMS. I’m coming from
itunes, so I’m assuming all my current playlists, I can export them as
m3u files, edit the path to match LMS and then should work?

Is my understanding correct? Any hints or tips I should be aware of?

Thanks

Never heard of DPI before and I've not looked at waveshare threads. I
will.

I'm curious on screen size. Does 4" work well? Vs 7" 4" is smaller
than my phone. A subjective question I realize.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Controlling LMS via http requests

2021-12-28 Thread rkrug

Hi

I am trying to implement an interface to control LMS from homebridge by
using the Homebridge HTTP IoT plugin
(https://www.npmjs.com/package/homebridge-http-iot).

My problem is that I do not get it to work. The URLs are working (tried
them locally and remotely) but the player is not switching and not
showing the correct status. anyboDy has any experiences controlling LMS
via that requests from homebridge?

Here is my config:

{
"lightbulbGetOn": {
"url":
"http://localhost:9000/status.xml?player=OfficeRadio";,
"method": "GET",
"pattern": "Now playing"
},
"lightbulbSetOn": {
"url":

"lightbulbSetOff": {
"url":

"name": "OR",
"debugMsgLog": 1,
"accessory": "HTTP-IoT"

I'd strongly recommend you use POST /jsonrpc.js. The status.xml
interface hasn't seen a lot of love in many years, while json/rpc is the
de-facto standard method to interface with LMS.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Touchscreen display for piCorePlayer

2021-12-28 Thread chicks

The Hyperpixel 4 is an excellent touchscreen, capacitive touch is
definitely the way to go, vs resistive. I found it a bit too small for
JiveLite, but it works well with a custom app with larger touch areas.

The 5" OSOYOO touchscreen works nicely for pCP/JiveLite. It does need a
more stable stand, as it tips easily.

See this thread for a couple of options with the smaller screens:

I tried to instal QLogitechMediaServer on my TS-453 PRO with firmware
5.0.0.1891. But did not succeed.
IP of the NAS is 192.168.2.4:8080. Internet access works fine. I’v no
problem with Firmware updating.

First I tried to add the QnapClub store to the Qnap App center by adding
https://www.qnapclub.eu/nl/repo.xml to the as decribed at
https://www.qnapclub.eu/en/howto/1
Unfortunately without result. I don’t see the QnapClub Repository within
the Qnap AppCenter.

At second I downloaded the latest QLogitechMediaServer version
LogitechMediaServer_2.25.00_x86.qpkg from
https://www.qnapclub.eu/nl/qpkg/545.
After installation I get the warning at IP address 192.168.2.4:9001 :
“404 Not Found – The requested URL was not found on this server”

I’m an absolute Qnap – newbe. I’ve no idea how to open hidden folders,
for instance to find and read PLEASE-README-FIRST.txt.

@Digimaster: Can you give me advise please?

I’ve been thinking about purchasing a hi end streamer but keep taking
myself out of it. However if I eventually do succumb I would want to use
it with the UpnpBridge. The only way I can think of ensuring that it
will work is to take a full working LMS with me if I audition the
streamer somewhere.

At the moment I’m using a Pi4 plus Khadas tone board and I think it may
take some beating.

The fact that it's available in 7" is appealing:
https://www.dfrobot.com/product-1784.html

There is an unanswered comment from 3 months ago asking if SW
backlighting is supported yet, above forum thread indicates it's only
adjustable via pot.

I guess the Osoyoo is SW controllable via sysfs which is nice.

Right, I recall doing that a few years back so I still have perl and
perl5.18 with Full Disk Access. On another thread, I saw that
/usr/bin/sh was required which currently does not have full disk access,

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] PiCore LMS will not reconnect to NAS

Hello,

Recently I set up a PiCore LMS and mounted my Synology NAS where my
music is stored. For a few weeks it was working fine and i was able to
play everything through the server to my Touch to my stereo.
Unfortunately the power went out over night and everything was abruptly
shut down. I have all devices now running and can access the internet
through the Touch and listen to internet radio etc, but it can no longer
see the Synology mount, even though I can access the NAS through other
devices without issue.
Any thoughts? i am at my wits end on this

To confirm, all music mounted on a usb connected to pi. LMS is on same
pi. I’m using \mnt\ at the start of the file path in the playlist file
which matches the start of the music file. I wonder if I need to ignore
