If I submit the logon form to LogonAction, I can forward the request from LogonAction to j_security_check but the request object will stay there and I can not forward again using mapping.findForward(success) to a different page since the response is already commited at that point. Re: Using Frames in Struts
Hello Jacob, Thanx for the reply. I will explain you the whole app. flow 1) The user selects an option on a page from where the request is forwarded to a action class. 2) In the action class a hashtable of Categories is loaded and is forwarded to the a Frameset that contains 2 frames one which shows 2 select box and the 2 frame displays the result on selecting a item in the second select box. 3) Now the user is asked to select a category on selecting a category a the request is forwarded via a javascript to a categoryAction class. 4) In CategoryAction class all the assortments for the selected Category are loaded and the request is forwarded to a the same main frame which contains the 2 frames. 5) On selection of the assortment the request is forwarded to AssortmentAction via javascript where all the sub Assortments are selected and the result have to be displayed in the second frame. Please Guide me with it. the javascript code:: unction ChangeCategory() { document.categoriesForm.submit(); } function ChangeAssortment() { assortmentForm.target=main; document.assortmentForm.submit(); } - Original Message - From: Jacob Hookom [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Struts Users Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, November 01, 2002 1:37 PM Subject: Re: Using Frames in Struts I remember the issue coming up before where if two requests were made at the same time to the server, you would somehow end up with two sessions. Thank God I am not the only one to face the problem. No I am not using the Tomcat but I am using Jrun. - Original Message - From: James Mitchell [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Struts Users Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, October 31, 2002 11:07 AM Subject: RE: Images on a jsp page. Yes, you are experiencing 'why-I-switched-to-Tomcat-4.1.12' syndrome. Just kidding, sort of. I found 4.1.8 up to 4.1.10 flaky like what you've described. Are you using Tomcat?
