I would double check again that it is in "WEB-INF/struts-config.xml" and
not "Web-inf/struts-config.xml." Unwar it on your Unix system and double
check.

What do you use to build? I would suggest using Ant 1.5 to build and
deploy your application. Take a look at the serverdeploy task. It works well
deploying a build to a remote Weblogic server. I use it to deploy locally
to Weblogic (on Windows) and to remote Weblogic servers for testing
(running on Unix).

Thanks for your response. I have tried what you indicated and continue to
have the same problem.

Additionally, I attempted to place all of the jar files from
java_xml_pack-spring02-dev\jaxp-1.2-ea2 (dom, jaxp-api, sax, xalan,
xercesimpl, and xsltc) in my WEB-INF/lib directory and rebuilt (removing the
XERCESJAR entry for this test). This causes the same failure with a
slightly different error stack:

Hi, you must assign the variable XERCESJAR to your project (right click,
properties, java build path, add variable), and check the order must be
before the source folder of your project.

Struts 1.1b-1 - Parsing error processing resource path /WEB-INF/struts-config.xml

I am attempting to create the struts-blank application from

I noticed other people have posted messages for similar problems and they
were usually related to problems with the XML parser. By default, WSAD 4.0
is using Xerces 3.2.1. I have also attempted to add crimson.jar and
xalan.jar from Suns fall xml release to WEB-INF/lib. This resulted in a
similar error.

I have been using the environment described above (WSAD 4.0, Xerces 3.2.1)
successfully to develop software using Struts 1.02.

If there is any additional information I can provide, please let me know.

Thanks in advance for any help on this problem.

2001-08-14 Thread Eduardo Fujii

To anyone interested,

It looks like I got rid of the errors when
initializing Tomcat. I had to copy struts.jar, and all the commons-*.jar to
Tomcat's lib directory.
Is this how it is supposed to be ? I like the idea
of separating Struts' stuff from the container (in my case Tomcat).

If anyone knows why that happens, please let me
know.

Parsing error processing resource path /WEB-INF/struts-config.xml

2001-04-11 Thread Anthony Martin

This is covered in the installation documentation (under Prerequisite
Software), but those of you who try to use the data-source part of the
struts-config.xml before adding javax.sql will get the message:

Parsing error processing resource path /WEB-INF/struts-config.xml

In other words, if you are going to add to your
struts-config.xml, make sure you already have javax.sql:

http://java.sun.com/products/jdbc/download.html

Question: Is there a troubleshooting list for Struts? Tomcat has a few of
these, but I can't seem to find one for this project. I'd be happy to
contribute if there isn't one.
