[freenet-support] Unstable builds

2002-12-11 Thread Der Vagabund
Hi Matthew,

I've got an error message for the TFE-page (and cruft) with Fproxy (several
days and build numers now).
I will give you the debug-log of this error.

It seems to be a problem with the datastore. It's almost full with 1492 kb
free (of 512 MB).
Interesting is that this error occurs only with some pages and that
SSK@rBjVda8pC-Kq04jUurIAb8IzAGcPAgM/3df68000-TFE// works fine.

With stable build's I didn't see this error.

Hope this helps,

Der Vagabund

[freenet-support] unstable builds

2002-11-28 Thread Der Vagabund
Hi Matthew,

have you notice that the cruft site doesn't work with the unstable builds ?
He makes a double redirection with his DBR :
the daily redirect is an redirect to an manifest, not the manifest itself.

Re: [freenet-support] Gateway won't start for me.

2002-11-09 Thread Der Vagabund

Hi,

remove storeFile=E:\FreenetStore in
-this mabe wrong because you set : storeType=freenet
(And this means that you will have a DS-directory - not a file

If you want to set the path to the Datastore use storeDataFile=
Also you can try to change
tempDir=C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\freenet\ into tempDir=C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\freenet

If this doesn't help set your debuglevel to debug and start the node and
give us your log-File then.

Also your FEC-setup is wrong . Have you inserted the fproxy.* -lines
manually ? They are obsolete (as you see in your log-file :-)
For FEC you should include:
FECInstanceCacheSize=1
FEC.Encoders.0.class=OnionFECEncoder
FEC.Decoders.0.class=OnionFECDecoder

Good luck

 Hi,

 Right now the tarball is 521 and freenet-latest.jar is 520, and
 when i startup the browser i see the latest is 522??

 with 520 and 521 im still getting the zero length meta data error
 on the insert
 block 23: State DONE reached.

Build 522 fixes this for me...

I agree, the build 522 is working fine.
Thank's to Matthew !

What do you expect ? If you are transient there will be no activity until you
request something in freenet.
Have you tried the links on the gateway page ?

Re: [freenet-support] little more help again

2002-10-22 Thread Der Vagabund
Oh,
I assume that the settings in your ini/conf file are correct and you
have doAnnounce=true ?
You should have incoming connections then. Maybe it takes some time.
A good way to introduce your node to the network is to run FROST because
it creates many connections.
(Or just retrieve /insert some files constantly )
If that's all true , don't worry, the inserts will be coming soon :-)

Der Vagabund

P.S. If you have enabled the node status info, you can go to localhost:8889 .

 Thats an old message prob about 8 snapshots back or more.

 Havnt had a chance to try latest,,,13:28 snapshot yet.
Do you get an error message while inserting the metadata at the end of
an fproxy splitfile insert?

I've tried the latest snapshot. And, yes, the error is after:
Data and check blocks inserted. inserting SplitFile metadata...
(Fproxy hangs until it give up)

I could send you a debug-log about this if you are interested.
