Do the message filters in SeaMonkey work in newsgroups? (they should because the program lets you set them up). Saving Posts Freezes(?) SM 2.26 Mac.
I've seen this a few time now...if I'm trying to save a NG post to an on-disk Folder by drag and drop, SM Mail seemingly freezes, but I can still use the Browser, click around Mail, mark a NG Read, etc. All this while a *blue* "spinning pizza-wheel of death" is spinning. And whassup with the *blue* pizza wheel vice the OX X default rainbow one? Is this another instance of SM stepping on a standard OS X interface activity? No other app on my machine alters the wait-wheel...not one! I've concluded that I've been using the filters incorrectly, but on the other hand, using them "correctly" seems hardly worth the effort. In an ideal implementation, the filter would automatically dispose of the offending message for all subgroups (such as Thunderbird, SeaMonkey and Firefox) once the user has downloaded the message from server to hard drive. As the saying goes, "If we can send a man to the moon" What I find myself having to do, which I assume is normal, is go to each of the three groups and run the filter from the dropdown menu.
