Well, unless you have to do it repeatedly, you can just search the
filename in Windows Explorer and delete them from there (CTRL-A will
select them all at once). It goes pretty quickly if you search within
the Mozilla directory instead of your entire hard drive.

I created a .bat file to delete all instances of webappsstore.sqlite, an
instance in each of my five SeaMonkey profiles plus one instance in my

Same problem has recently occurred using SeaMonkey 2.48 on a Mac, updated to

Suggested work around in above thread, to disable SM's user agent string option not to advertise Firefox compatibility does correct the error but not a solution as that too
causes problems accessing some sites.

Perhaps we need as user agent to use a more recent Firefox version like:

User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/63.0 SeaMonkey/2.49.1

I have tested = DOESNOT WORK

I have tested this one: User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64;

Download from visited web sites? Is that why I was having issues with

Thanks.
Got it fixed with one click. Now I can adjust it, maybe more carefully
next time.
I realize I need an upgrade, but I thought before I do that, I should
clean out unwanted messages - there's a huge message load of
separate-interest eddresses - many unread.

I think I should do a cleanup and archive before updating.

Go the Menu Bar, select View > Classic View and resize the Message pane
by dragging down the divider you pushed up before

You could then change back to Wide View, but I would suggest leaving
SeaMonkey in Classic View.

You can always right-click on a message and open it in a new tab or
window. I prefer a tab.

Or you could leave it like it is, press the F8 function key to show all
messages in the Thread pane. Open the messages in a tab.

Your SeaMonkey is outdated and I also suggest updating to SeaMonkey
2.49.4. You will have to download it and install it over your current
2.46 version.

You can get it here.

Hi,
on a new PC with windows 10 I had a problem about "send to recipient"
not firing seamonkey mail

after google searching for solutions, I have seen that seamonkey did not
appeared in the list of installed programs
so I decided to re install

I did it from the user account that I use most of the time
first I was surprised that I was not asked to give the password of the
administrator account, as usual in this case for all the programs I may
have to install

next, it did not appeared in the installed programs after installing
properly

again, The send to recipient did not work

so I decided to reinstall from the administrator account

this solved the 2 problems : it appears in installed programs list, and
send to recipient works properly

my question would be : can you install seamonkey from a limited account
without granting the administrator rights

In my primary profile, it is 1.09 MB. I delete webappsstore.sqlite from
all profiles each week before doing a total system backup. If the file
does not exist, a new version will download when I next launch SeaMonkey.

I also delete the contents of the storage and safebrowsing folders and
all caches before doing my backup. These too are regenerated when I
next launch SeaMonkey.

I installed SeaMonkey to a Standard account (on MacOS), which does not
have admin rights, and I use it from that account. That is no problem.
To install something into an account and use it from the same account
does not require an admin password.

And uBlock origin as a replacement for ABP is here:

The latest compatible ABP version is 2.91 and not recommended any longer.
SeaMonkey 2.57 will arrive with web extension support (not yet there) and
should in theory then support newer versions.
