Seamonkey 2.11 - token encoding UTF-8

2012-07-27 Thread Bernd Adda
hi
I use UTF-8 for all - Distri and SM
But sometimes I get Mails with other encodings (ISO-8859-?)
Ten I can't read the Mail while the letter are to little

May you seek for a config to change other encodings in UTF-8?
automatically, if needful? May be its a new idea - I would like it.

go to work on and network random organization - offline
the first line - select auto spot, if possible

You can go too to Browser - file - work offline

hoping, you can understand?

 It is my understanding that SeaMonkey will remember what condition it
 was in when it was closed down, so if you are off-line when you close
 SM, SM will be off-line when you start up.

 It is right here; empirically tested and thereby proven.
 I cannot send this now, because Send is replaced by Send
 later as I went offline before closing and re-starting
 Seamonkey.

How I wrote, you can do something for it. (sorry for my english)
If you open sm offline, go to to work on - settings -
- Mail Newsgroups - network retention

The first line you can modify

Ido it like this recognice auto - if possible (sm is possible for it)

You can do too the following:
go into the browser to file down to work offline
and change it This is only a workaround till to the
help beetling

 OK, so if we modify the original hypothesis to read :

   It is my understanding that SeaMonkey can be configuted to remember
   what condition it was in when it was closed down, so if you are
   off-line when you close SM, SM will be off-line when you start up.

 you would agree with that statement ?

If you mean, you don't understand my english, no problem
I can't understand you too, my problem

 Every day I get email spam that has a future date so that it stays on
 the top of my email list. These usually have tomorrow's date but some
 have next month's date and the latest has the year 2038. I need a filter
 which will inspect the date and move anything with a date in the future
 to the Junk folder. I suspect the answer may be in setting up a filter
 using Age In Days as one of the criteria. Has anyone done this?

 Do you have spam filtering turned on, Arnie? Seems to me that if a) you
 get that much of it, and b) you've been Marking as Junk, this spam
 should already be being sent directly to Junk.

 The very few spams that get by my (own) mail server's SpamAssassin filters
 all end up in Junk, after one or two Mark as Junk.

My Junk does not read any date. Junk is Junk
and sm kills it like all other.

I am working with openSUSE-12.1
- the Distri has a Flashplayer file - install with Yast controlcenter
You will find in /usr/lib/browser-plugins -  libflashplayer.so
Copy this file into seamonkey and all is fine

 The most interesting part of this bug is that i am unable to reproduce
 it. Otherwise it would be not to hard to determine the regression window.

 Hartmut

hi all

I'll help to reproduce it.

Hoping, you have installed seamonkey-2.8 or sooner
with mail-accounts and Locale Folder.
Use font TNR 13 - pref.js like:

user_pref(font.minimum-size.x-western, 22);
user_pref(font.name.cursive.x-western, Times New Roman);
user_pref(font.name.fantasy.x-western, Times New Roman);
user_pref(font.name.monospace.x-western, Times New Roman);
user_pref(font.name.sans-serif.x-western, Times New Roman);
user_pref(font.name.serif.x-western, Times New Roman);
user_pref(font.size.fixed.x-western, 18);
user_pref(font.size.variable.x-western, 18);
user_pref(general.startup.mail, true);

Now open Mail  News accounts

OK

Now install seamonkey-2.10 (or 2.10.1) and do the same

Last Time you didn't get InBox and other

Now use for sm-2.10 fonts
user_pref(font.minimum-size.x-western, 18 (or more little);
now change the following fonts
user_pref(font.size.fixed.x-western, 12);
user_pref(font.size.variable.x-western, 16);

After this first you should get in 2.10 the same like 2.8
Later it may be lost. 2.10 is back to the Bug (?)

I installed thunderbird and got the same like 2.10

I'll tell you too

You can change from 2.8 to 2.10 with the same profil
and back. Ever you get in 2.10 the Bug, but not in 2.8

Changing any files in profiles.ini or prefs.js, the Bug
is the same. (I did change the prefs.js-(2.10) toward
the prefs.js-(2.8) but it didn't help.

Only changing the fonts I saw sometimes a good idea.
But then I couldn't read the Emails and other.

It may be a error in gnome (fonts) ?

Hoping I could help
and waiting for you

Regards

adda

Seamonkey-2.10 - Problem with Mail Newsgroups-accounts - (preferences ?)

2012-06-22 Thread Bernd Adda

sorry for my english - I work with openSUSE 12.1 (Linux) and use
LTE for Internet (no DSL) - Many years I used mozilla and now
Seamonkey (with Mail) Till to 2.8 all is OK - but with 2.10 I have
problems.

If I opened Mail News-accounts, I could see all accounts
But now off from 2.10 it opens only the head-accounts
(or how is the name for it?)

I mean up to now I got for the Name also
Inbox, Templates, Drafts, Sent and Trash

But new I get only the name
The other I must click a second time to see them.

That is also so by thunderbird

Nobody can help me.
