Is there a way (extension?) to allow one to zoom just text without
bothering the default full zoom? It is all right if the solution
provides full zoom while the default is text zoom. I just want to
have text zoom and full zoom separately without the need to
constantly change the application wide setting. // Stanimir

Hi Stanimir,
Firefox itself will allow to to choose, but wouldn't be what you want.
  browser.zoom.fullTrue(default)/False
  browser.zoom.siteSpecific True(default)/False

Ctrl++ (zoom in), Ctrl+- (zoom out), Ctrl+0 (return to normal)

Image Zoom will selectively zoom a single image, so combined with any
other method of zooming probably fulfills your need.

Image Zoom, Right click on an image and select a zoom option from the
popup menu, or, hold down the right mouse button in combination
with the mouse wheel to zoom in or out on a single image image.
 (Compatible with Mouse Zoom

Mouse Zoom, Zoom all text and images on page with the mouse. Hold the right
mouse button and turn the mouse wheel to zoom in/out. Hold the right mouse
button and click left to reset to normal font size. [Options]. Compatible with
   Firefox's own text zoom (Ctrl+0, Ctrl++, Ctrl+-) controls. [options]
   Displays zoom level when changing.

AutoHide, Hide/See the toolbars of your choice in Full Screen (F11/context) or

choose which toolbars to show or hide, and it offer Full Window mode

You can try this:
http://xsidebar.mozdev.org/modifiedmisc.html#nosquint
Note that if you use prefbar, Increase Font and Decrease Font will pick up
your nosquint settings.

Nosquint is available at addons, as far as I can tell all of the modified
addons
mentioned are simply addons that have been modified to work with SeaMonkey

NoSquint :: Add-ons for Firefox
NoSquint allows you to adjust the text-only and full-page (both text and images)
zoom levels as well as color settings both globally (for all sites) and per site.

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/2592

Like those built-in to Firefox this appears to apply on a per site basis only
during
the current session You will have to check that out yourself, I've never used
it.

In the reply to Paul B. Gallagher,Stanimir wants to be able to switch
between
text-only and full-page modes per site. Can't tell from the description of
Nosquint
if that is what it is describing or not.

Did you try to search for nosquint, or no squint, at addons? I got nothing
under Seamonkey, only Firefox. The nosquint at the xsidebar has been tweaked
to install in Seamonkey, as far as I can figure out. Maybe it's a search
problem but I don't think so.

If I was unsure if it was nosquint or no squint, then I would use
no.squint or no-squint when searching at Google. You don't have that
luxary when using the Addons provided search.

Okay, I normally do not use the Addons provided search, though I do have a
bookmarklet addons:s for that as well. The one I used for nosquint was
addons: which is a Google search at addons.

http://www.google.com/search?num=100q=site%3Aaddons.mozilla.org+inurl%3Aen-US%2Ffirefox%2Faddon+-inurl:collection+%S

The addons:s search is for Firefox, I find it really only much good if you
know the
name of the addon, so it could have been used.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=%sstatus=4show=50

You can find 95% of my bookmarklets in the k.html file
   http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/firefox/lessons/intro/k.html

linked from
  http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/firefox/kws.htm

I will be redoing the k.html file at least once this month in time for a
short presentation at Trenton Computer Festival.

Is anyone else having problems with Google Maps' - graphic to zoom out of map

worked in fine in the past and in Internet Explorer
v6.0.

Yes! Same problem here on multiple machines with SM 1.1.18, but it works
correctly with IE8. You can still zoom out by moving
the slider down, but clicking on the - button at the bottom hasn't been
working for weeks.

Same problem recently on SM 1.1.10

Just out of curiosity, I downloaded and installed Seamonkey 1.1.18 and
proceeded to log onto Google Maps. I made no changes to
Seamonkey's default Options before bringing up the Google Maps web site.

First off, I received a message that my web browser was not supported by Google
Maps.

After browsing through the common problems blurbs, I then went back to the
main page and entered some search terms. The
following URL was generated:

http://local.google.ca/maps?f=qsource=s_qoutput=htmlq=vancouver++british+columbiabtnG=Search+Maps

On this page, the Zoom function wasn't displayed in graphics format but instead
was displayed as a graduated number format; using
this the Zoom functions worked.

Just thought I'd pass this tid-bit along as I would imagine that it can
probably be tweaked/loggled on somewhere in the SM
settings for users that are experiencing buglets with the graphical version.

Make sure that Java is turned on for Street view and for Zoom to work.
(and if you test with JavaScript and/or Java turned off, don't forget to turn
the turn them back on after testing).

It appears that the output=html created the text like graduated zoom column.

If the above is reduced to
http://local.google.ca/maps?q=vancouver+british+columbia
do those that are having trouble with zoom still have a problem. I can zoom
with the
mouse wheel and the normal zoom control changes accordingly.

The street view can now show the street view on split above, and the map
below.
When I moved the street view icon (man) to street suddenly the window went black
with the map in lower right corner, then expanded upper left of small map and
back to street view again but as described with split (very nice). And if
you click in
the lower right corner you change more things. Really get to zoom in on
street view
in Vancouver.

http://local.google.ca/maps?source=s_qq=1556%20W%20Broadway,%20Vancouver,%20BC,%20Canada

Depending which side of the street you start from, you can almost read the
billboards on the
bus, and the billboard on the back has a face and it is blurred because if
looks like a face, but so too is some of the wording on
the bus side billboard. Some of the signs and prices on newsstand in front of
store are readable. Can't read the book covers.

No problem here. All features I see in Firefox 3.5.3 work with Firefox
2.0.0.20.Using Vista Home Basic.Perhaps you are
not blocking some things in Google or blocking the wrong things.
Adblock Plus is turned off at the status bar, so basically probably only the
hosts file is active.
I'm not signed into Google on either profile. No problems either with
an almost untouched
profile in Firefox3.5.3 either (but it's getting boring now, since there
are no differences, same kid on the bicycle).
JavaScript is always turned on, if I turn if off still works, but get the text
like zoom column. If Java is turned of Street
view and Zoom do not work.

Maybe I misunderstand zoom out of the map area view thought at first it
was just zoom, but also checked the navigation aid
above the zoom control, and that works as well. Zoom control slider and + and
- above/below slider works.I just use drag
mouse, and use arrow keys normally.Buttons at of map all work.

Waaah! The zoom-feature does _not_ need java!
Maybe Javscript, but that's something completely different.

Yep, JavaScript/JS and Java are two different things.

Because I had turned I it off and it failed consistently, but that is no longer
