I am so embarrassed. My default for years has been the composer window, and I
didn’t realize that there was a browser window, into which the new version
apparently defaulted. All is well!
Sorry to be a bother!

Can you recommend someone who might be able to help if it is a Mac:Seamonkey

I'm sorry, I can't. Mac people (MacPeople?) do follow this forum so I'd
expect one of them to notice that this is something where they could
help, even if to say "I have MacOS xxx and SM yyy and it works for me".
Does the Mac have some simple editor (it would be "vi" under Linux)
where you can change a couple of characters and rewrite. That would
confirm that you are allowed to write to that file.

That is why I said "Pretend to edit", Word is capable of totally
screwing things up and the aim was just to see if you had the rights to
edit it. I'd have done it with something which restricts itself to
doing what you tell it to.
If it is not html any more then Seamonkey will probably not even be able
to open it any more.
The original problem is looking more like a Mac-OS:Seamonkey problem and
I have never used that platform.

That was a good suggestion. I was able to edit it with Microsoft Word. My
version of SeaMonkey is 49.4.

Do you have the rights to update that file? Pretend to edit it with
another editor.

What version of Seamonkey are you using?
