[swinog] zyxel 2802 as bridge

2007-11-21 Thread Silvan Gebhardt

hello swinog
has anyone collected experience with a zyxel 2802 ROuter used as modem
(mode "bridge")?

I can't get it to work, with routing it finally works, but as bridge
with my old good pfsense it won't work

does someone know where is the trick? I've already upgraded the
firmware...

[swinog] problems at bluewin?

2007-11-21 Thread Daniel Rechsteiner

Hi,

We currently cannot reach bluewin servers. Anyone else seeing this? I
tried it from Netstream, Cablecom, mhs and Hosteurope. It seems to be
working sometimes, although very rarely and slow.

2007-11-21 Thread Steven Glogger
i made the experience that traffic over TIX1 was affected, TIX2 router
was up and running.

we saw a high packet loss on our TIX1 neighbor like if their router's
CPU was running constantly at 100%.
this issue seems to be resolved since some hours, but i have the feeling
that some prefixes are not correctly announced to external transits or
peerings. some sites are not reachable via IP+.

lets wait for some updates ,-)

Re: [swinog] Swisscom outage - details?

2007-11-21 Thread Steven Glogger
there's an update on the ip+ homepage:

21.11.2007 22:06

Since 17.15 an increased DDOS transit traffic has been recorded within
the Internet. Through this the IP+ service from Swisscom is also
impaired. Swisscom assumes that it is a general disturbance on the
Internet (www).
The routers from Swisscom Switzerland such as our international peering
points are currently working again. A router within the area of Zurich
still shows performance disturbances. At the moment It is not
foreseeable when these will be cleared. The technicians are still
working on it with high pressure and priority.

Hello

Since 17.15 an increased DDOS transit traffic has been recorded within
the Internet.

mmh - can I see this somewhere "within the internet" ? I checked
traffic-graphs from the major IXs ... also checked sans.org and so on -
didn't see anything unusual elsewhere. Nothing on nanog.

"general"?

Maybe Ted Stevens ("It's not a truck. It's a series of tubes") wrote
this report?
