there is a learning curve. and some wlm settings to change. i don't remember where all of them are. in the message list in the views ribbon, change to one line view. turn off the reading pane. turn off the calander pain. turn on quick views if you want all messages folder to show you will have to turn this on. check that the wlm app is installed. it may not of been installed because you did not have wlm installed when w e 9.3 was installed. -Original Message- From: Klaus Vielhauer via Talk Sent: Tuesday, January 26, 2016 1:02 AM To: Window-Eyes Discussion List Subject: Windows live mail and windows 10 Hi, I have installed WLM 2012 on a new windows 10 PC with Windoweyes. Re: Windows live mail question
You can turn browse mode off with ctrl-shift-A, then shift-tab to the attachment name. You must then route the mouse pointer to that name and right-click that button. This is one case where the context-menu key doesn't do the same thing. This is problematic if there are multiple attachments, because Live Mail calls the list of attachments a slide show. But I just rechecked and see that if I hit Alt-7 twice, I can use the right and left arrows to select the buttons that represent each of the files. I still must route the mouse pointer to the appropriate button and right-click it to get a context menu that includes "open". Flash problems
Hi, I'm doing a course on the internet, and the the course is designed with a lot of flash in it. Both content as well as question and multiple choice answers are rendered via flash. When I press the link which displays flash content, I can't read any content at all. Window-eyes says that it is flash document but that's it. I can't use my cursor keys, no content is accessible. My worry is - having done some research on the web - that it is badly designed flash content in which case I've basically had it, I won't be able to complete the course. Unless there's something I can do to make this content accessible via Window-eyes. Any thoughts? RE: Flash problems
Simon, Unfortunately WE does not fully support flash content. I ran into some issues with the quiz portion of some on-line training at work and had to complete the quiz stuff at hoem with the competition as it better supports flash. There are moving parts to this issue as the entity who creates the flash content must make it accessible and Adobe Systems does not make this easy. This tells you that there are at least two additional moving parts in addition to WE. My husband knew immediately what was going on when he saw the content from my training and knew this was a flash issue. Thanks, Karyn. I rather feared that. I doubt it whether the tutor is going to rewrite his flash content for one student, so i'm afraid I won't be able to complete the course. Live and learn. Re: Navigating Facebook, a Frustrating Experience
Untrue. I mostly use the official iOS and Android apps which are quite accessible. But I also use m.facebook.com which again is quite accessible. Since I have a Mac, there are third party apps that interface with Facebook. Current, a paid app, is one of them and I use it. Again this is quite accessible. > On 26 Jan 2016, at 13:02, Helen Murphy via Talk> wrote: > > face book is not blind friendly ive heard a lot of people say that. One thing in Becky, with window-eyes, you can hear the progress indicator when a message goes out, and there is an "out box" which is only use for messages in transit, where under that same folder is "sent mail," where only "sent" messages are stored. i would use gmail. it has a better spam filter and it is more secure then yahoo mail. yahoo mail has been hacked so many times because of there poor security practices. gmail can also be configured to be downloaded with wlm useing i map. doing so your messages would be sinked between all your devices that have the same account on them. but unless gmail has changed you would need help to sign up because it uses a captcha to confirm you are not a bot trying to hack there system. -Original Message- From: Tony C via Talk Sent: Tuesday, January 26, 2016 2:04 PM To: window-eyes Subject: web mail question Hi I was wondering, I’m using WLM but, I also need a web based mail like g mail or yahoo mail what is the easiest and quickest to learn? ___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. Re: email client for win ten
The Sent folder saves messages you sent out to others; sometimes one needs to refer back to them, such as in a warranty dispute, e.g., I sent you a message about this issue on such and such a date. A neat trick, as you can refer to a specific message when you need to - a high-tech way of documentation.--Matthew Chao On 1/26/2016 3:36 PM, Mike Rogers via Talk wrote: Hi. Here's a Becky question.
