Hello. I am running Windows 7 because I can not update on this computer. My brother has Windows 10 and WE. He can not find search results when he uses the Win key to do a search. How does he find results without having to deal with Cortana? Hi Butch, In Chrome, press Alt-F to open the main application menu. From this menu, you can arrow (Up/Down) through all of the available items. After opening the main application menu, you can press B to open the Bookmarks pull down menu. Here are a few other related shortcuts: Control+D to bookmark current page, Control+Shift+O to open the Bookmark manager. I am not aware of any tutorials specific to Window-Eyes and Chrome. Still no attachments
A reminder of what I am using, Windows 7, Office 2010 with the latest WE. My husband put Norton on my computer and then I could not get attachments. Chris suggested I get rid of Norton, which I did and get AVG, which again I did. However, I still cannot open the attachments in email, but I can save them. But something is still not right. a very annoyinr miranda ng problem
Hey guys, OK, i can not figure this out to save my life. When i load miranda, a bunch of message sessions come up. Window-eyes keeps saying rich edit, rich edit, rich edit, rich edit, rich edit, rich edit. In order to get rid of them, you have to basicly hold down your escape key for several seconds. Anyone ever seen this. While i am hearing rich edit rich edit rich edit, my PC makes an incoming message sound and is going ding ding ding ding ding. Any ideas? Here's another problem I am having, using Windows7, Office 2010, latest WE, when I am using Fire Foxx, if I want to go to a previous page, I have always hit alt left arrow and it has always gone back a page, but now, now it messes with Window eyes and it turns off, well the whole system seems to freeze up. Irritating to say the least. Is this something on my end, well it just started after we installed that stupid Norton. R.J. I assumed she was asking if you could use the Kurzweil voices if you already owned Kurzweil 1000. You are right, it would not be worth buying Kurzweil for the voices, but if you already have it, it is interesting to try the voices. I personally like the quality of "James" for reading, but I don't like that voice at all for screen reader work. Winamp playlist editor is silent when arrowing up and down
Hi folks I just now noticed that this was happening, the subject line basicly says it. For whatever reason, when arrowing up and downin the Winamp playlist editor, Window-eyes 9.4.0 does not speak each item as I arrow up and down to it. in other words if I arrow up and down, nothing happens. I've tried resetting the scripts produced by Jeff Bishop and even gone so far as to remove them, thinking their may be some kind of odd conflict somewhere. Unfortunately, nothing I've tried helps, and I've tried absolutely everything I can think of.Does anyone have anyideas? Hi folks, especially Chuck Unfortunately, that little trick didn't work. I can tell when I'm switching Winamp Windows with control plus tab, and Window-eyes successfully announces which window i'm focused on, but when arrowing up and down in the playlist editor, none of the list items will speak. I even went so far as to make sure that the skin I was using is the classic one, and indeed, it is. I've tried every trick I can think of, and nothing seems to work. This is a brand new pc running Windows 10 64-bit. Great ideas for sure and I definitely appreciate it! I hope I can get it working again. Hello, My Access to Ebay seems to be Hit and Miss, mostly Miss these days. I go to www.ebay.com And usually, I end up on their Edit line where I can type in what item I wish to run a Search. Most of the time, I can no longer do this. WE 9.4 does not tell me when I am on an Edit line. Or if I refresh the screen, WE 9.4 will tell me there is an Edit line, but I still can not type anything in the Edit line. Then if I try again, say a day later, and at a different time of day, sometimes I get the Edit line and I can run a Search. Ebay must be using different screens, but most of the time, I am getting no access to Ebay. Browse Mode, or No Browse Mode does not seem to help in any way. Does anyone know if Ebay has an Alternitive Screen for those of us using Screen Readers? Is this some how linked to those having issues with filling our and Reading Forms? What is the toggle for browse mode? I know that sometimes on websites it will announce, after a click, that it is turned off, but how do you deliberately turn it on? As is probably evident, a lot of my knowledge of WE is on a need-to-know basis. Thank you. Peace. Make sure Norton was removed using the removal tool and not just done through add/remove programs. I'm not sure where you get the removal tool so someone else will have to answer that one.
