Re: Problem when on websites
Hi Peter, I just took another look at the address bar because, as I said, I just Alt-D, Control-C, F6. What I realized is that the cursor is always at the end of the line. Once I realized that arrowing back always works. Then I went to my GMail account and logged in. Arrowing worked there as well. Try the following in IE. Alt-T Tools. O Internet options. Shift-Tab up to the General tab and arrow over to Advanced. Tab once to Accelerated graphics. Arrow down once to Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering and press space to check it and turn it on if it's off. Tab down to the Apply button and press space. Close and reopen IE. Anyway, regardless how they are set, you will neeed to configure this by opening any folder on your system, set it up the way you like it, and then make it global. This is done by opening any folder on your system, in the View tab, opened with Alt-V, L, and then you'll will get a drop-down with the display options arranged, in typical confusing Windows 10 fashion, as a grid of options. Arrowing left and right, up and down, find detailed view, and press Enter. Okay, after doing this, you'll want to return to the View tab by pressing Alt-V, and then tabbing through other options for customizing your View, namely, whether you want your files and folders sorted ascending or descending, etc, by name, date, and the latter is what I prefer, in contrast to the Windows default on all systems, but it's your choice. Again, once you pick each setting, you press Enter to activate it, and this often closes the tab; If not, however, you can always Escape out. Finally, you can set the settings to apply to your whole system by finding the traditional Folder options dialog which you'll recall from Windows 7. This is also in the View tab and the shortcut is Alt-V, Y, and press Enter. As in the old days, once the Folder options dialog is open, Ctrl-tab brings the View tab to focus, and you can tab to the Apply button to globalize your settings. As a rule, everything that was in Windows 7 in present in Windows 10; They're just in the ribbons of the application you're using, including Explorer. I hope this was helpful. GMail with Outlook 2010
Hi everyone, Is there a trick to configuring a Gmail account in Outlook 2010? Here are the settings I've found on the google site, and they don't seem to work for me: Note: To avoid locking yourself out of your account, make sure you don't exceed 2500 MB per day for IMAP downloads and 500 MB per day for IMAP uploads. If you're setting up a single IMAP account on multiple computers, try taking a break between each setup. Set up IMAP Step 1: Check that IMAP is turned on On your computer, open Gmail . In the top right, click Settings Settings . Click Settings. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab. In the "IMAP Access" section, select Enable IMAP. Click Save Changes. Step 2: Change SMTP & other settings in your email client Use the table below to update your client with the correct information. For help updating your settings, search your email client's Help Center for instructions on setting up IMAP. Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server imap.gmail.com Requires SSL: Yes Port: 993 Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server smtp.gmail.com Requires SSL: Yes Requires TLS: Yes (if available) Requires Authentication: Yes Port for SSL: 465 Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587 Full Name or Display Name Your name Account Name, User name, or Email address Your full email address Password. That will not work when voiceover is off, so clicking the home button 3 times should work.
