Main Menu--windows 10 podcast
Hi, I listened to the Main Menu podcast regarding Windows 10. It sounded to me like Windows Narrater is being promoted over Window Eyes, Jaws, and NVDA. I would like to be able to continue to use WE. Also, I agree that people with disabilities should be able to fill out a form regarding Windows 10 and accessability. Also, What is the latest version of WE and would it be recommended for Windows 10? Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks. David Wu interview
Hi, I just listened to the interview with David Wu. I’m wondering how the staff feels about what’s going on. I’ve been using Window Eyes for quite a long time now and have been pleased with tech support and also the fact that I’m not waiting for such a long time to speak to a support person. I don’t know what the future will bring, However, I would like to see both WE and Jaws co-exist in peace and, Hopefully we will still have a choice and some say as customers. WE early morning crash
Hi, I have Windows 7 and WE 8.4. For the past two days when I boot up at around 4:00 a.m. central time, WE will come up o.k., However, When I leave the computer for a couple of hours, There is no speech. I tried control, alt w I would hear window eyes is already running. I wouldn’t hear WE in IE. Can anything be done? Thanks. losing speech--last Monday of month--early morning
Hi, I'm giving you more information. I have an HP desktop computer, Windows Vista and WE 8.4. I have a problem with losing speech on the last Monday of the month in the early morning at around 4:00 a.m. central standard/daylight saving time. Sometimes control, alt,w doesn't work to restore speech and control,alt,delete won't work either for some reason. I have to do a hard reset and then reboot one more time. Sometimes I can't shut down the computer using control, alt, delete and I need to do a hard reset and reboot. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks much in advance for all your help. windows updates
Hi, I have Windows Vista and WE 8.4 I did updates this past Tuesday and it seemed to take all day to do them. I started the process at around 7:00 a.m. central daylight time. Are there a lot of updates with security Tuesday? I used to hear Instal updates on shutdown. I don't hear that any more. Also, Updates affects my volume sometimes. Just giving my input. speech loss and crashing
Hi, I don't write to the list often, However, I have the same type of speech loss and crashing problems. I have Windows Vista and WE 8.4. I'm not sure how much ram I have. The speech loss and crashing happens in the early morning and sometimes with word 2010. Most of the time doing control alt w brings it back. However, sometimes I have to do a hard reset. Sometimes even rebooting doesn't bring speech back. Is there any way to solve this problem? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks much in advance. using left and right arrow--delete--skipping letters at times
Hi, I haven't asked a question in quite a while, However, Something's making me a little crazy. I have Windows Vista and WE 8.4. I'm wondering why at times when I'm writing email not every letter speaks. I sometimes have to go back with the left and right arrow or, If worse comes to worse, I have to reboot and the problem seems to fix itself. Also, This happens when I delete letters.
