RE: Thunderbird and W-E 9.1 NOT but 9.0 works
Brenda, Make sure you are using the latest Thunderbird. Earlier versions IE 24 may do exactly what you are saying with 9.1. The current version of Thunderbird is 31.6.0. So again I would suggest calling GW. They've been dealing with these things for so long they may know exactly what's going on as soon as they hear your description of the problem. For me 9.1 was a big improvement. So something may have gotten messed up that requires their emergency removal utility. If nothing else they should know best what to check and have you do to try to track down the problem. So I uninstalled W-e using controll panel and reinstalled W-e 9 from the disk. All was fine, TB worked!! Then I downloaded and installed W-E 9.1 and I'm back to where I was with TB and W-E locking up when I try to open a message. rrr Brenda ___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. Thank you Chris - all fixed now :) Re: Thunderbird and W-E 9.1 NOT but 9.0 works
Well, I thought I had the latest TB because I checked throughthe TB help menuand it said I was up to date BUT since Iturned off automatic updates due to conflicts and then never checked manually my version was too old to update via Thunderbird. I went to the website and updated, didn't loose a thing when doing so, AND it appears TB and W-E 9.1 are playing nice together AND my numpad mouse IS working. What a weekend! thanks everyone including AI/W-e for your help. BrendaOn 4/13/2015 8:02 AM, Chris Grabowski wrote: Brenda, Make sure you are using the latest Thunderbird. Re: Thank you Chris - all fixed now :) Re: Thunderbird and W-E 9.1 NOT but 9.0 works
Congratulations to you Brenda! But unfortunately, my situation is pretty much the same. I even used my Ninite updater, but things with my numpad keys remain the same. I remain optimistic that someone will diagnose my particular problem, and I'll get that same feeling of exhilaration that you must be feeling at this moment smile. About the only things I can get from the mouse or WE cursors is top and bottom, and the first line of message text, but that's it.
