Hi Rod,

I checked out your suggestion.  I don't know what I expected to hear, 
but when WE said that I was not on a clip, I tried it again and was 
surprised to hear that there was a white mouse on my computer, grin.  
Thanks for this.  I did figure out that I forgot to route the mouse.

Hi Carol,

Another hot key, comparable to that suggested by Tom, is 
Ctrl-Insert-NumpadDelete, which does the same thing as Tom's, except that it 
works for the colour of the pixel under the mouse pointer.
As such, it might help in situations where there is a graphical unit of focus,
