RE: Windows Update 1903
I have had that message before. I go ahead and press the Update and Shut Down option and have had no problems. That type of update is not as major as when updating a Windows build as from 1809 to 1903. Again, this has been my experience. -Original Message- From: Talk On Behalf Of Carol Smith via Talk Sent: Saturday, August 3, 2019 9:38 PM To: Window-Eyes Discussion List Cc: Carol Smith Subject: Re: Windows Update 1903 Hi Tom, Thank you for the information. I just got brave and did it. JAWS came right up. I exited JAWS and tried Window-Eyes. It came right up. Every installation file I can think of is on the data drive. Only the programs, themselves, are on the SD drive. Even my backup outlook .pst file is on my data drive. Oh yes, my printer still works, too. Fortunately, I didn't need to worry about anything. Re: Windows Update 1903
sorry, your right. when i upgraded i only had version 9.0 full installation disk. and after i upgraded with window eyes still installed and booted up windows 10 went into a endless loop and never got to the desktop. luckily i did this with a backup removable drive. i still had windows 7 on the master drive. i downloaded a full w e 9.2 setup and installed it on the windows 7 drive. then reclone back to the second drive and reinstalled windows 10. it worked that time -Original Message- From: Rod Hutton via Talk Sent: Friday, August 02, 2019 9:58 PM To: Window-Eyes Discussion List Cc: Rod Hutton Subject: RE: Windows Update 1903 Netbat, Actually, that is not quite correct. You absolutely don't need to uninstall Window-eyes. I didn't do it when upgrading to various versions of Windows 10. However,r,r, the Windows installer is quite fickle about which programs it keeps after the installation. I would suggest that you always keep your program installation files, in case you have to reinstall Windows from scratch.
