[Talk-de] Navigation on osm data
Hello, I am wondering if osm data contains information which helps rounting programs like navit to announce before a crossing which lane to take, when there are multiple lanes (e.g. one for turning left, one for straight or turning right). [Talk-de] OT: Displaying Color Encoded Information in Track
Hello, I would like to display color encoded information in a track. In my particular case right now, I would like to record signal strength with my cellphone. The easiest way to collect the data is for me a gps track and a table containing time and signal strenght. My end goal is to have the signal strength encoded in the color of the track (similarly like josm may encode velocity in the color of the track). Any input how to achieve this is welcome. Ich habe natural=spring: Water flowing out of the ground. May have a fountain build around amenity=fountain: A fountain for cultural / decorational / recreational purposes. und auch amenity=drinking_water: For showing the location of a tap or other source of drinking water gesehen. It's way too late for that for tags like highway=track. Access rules are already heavily country dependent (highway=trunk allowing pedestrians and bicycles or not for example; access=destination implying that cyclists and horse drivers always have access in some countries, destination traffic or not). The same with for example default maximum speeds. Tagging these default rules will be a nightmare if it's at some point decided in country X to change the rules. Good point. But I am wondering how often that happens. How many of these rule changes do you remember in the past for your country which would have affected osm tagging heavily? You don't know anymore whether the tag is there because it was added as default from JOSM or another editor, or because it was explicitly signed The way some country specific tags could work is to translate a concept from that country (e.g. an express road which may be something completely different in different countries and would need other tags). I am hesitant with different definitions/defaults in the meantime. I could imaging that a map in the future allows beyond showing the rendered data to let me see all tags on a way. If I travel into another country, it is a nightmare to read just plain tags (not talking about editing). If visitors are not allowed to leave through it, tag it as either access=no or access=private (which is translated to access=no by gosmore). So gosmore will not always produce the answer that the employees in the park want, but they just run an extra query starting / ending just outside the second entrance. I see, for the example business park, the access=destination tag makes a lot of sense. For tracks I never got a special permission in areas where I would need a map or even routing. So doing routing over tracks would have been useless for me for far... For my personal usecase, my preference preference would be to have a tag which tells motorcars are not allowed (motorcar=no ?) and gosmore would route me closest to the clicked position on allowed ways and the rest by foot (or optimize travelling time). Not sure if this has been fixed, consider updating your version of JOSM. Robert, thanks for the quick reply, that solved the problem. [OSM-talk] relationseditor in josm broken (?)
Hello, when I use the josm relations editor, I get a huge delete button and no space is left for the other buttons, see http://bokomoko.de/~rd/josm-relations.png for a screenshot. I am wondering if the josm relations editor is only broken for me and if yes, what did I do wrong? Thanks for the quick response. In fact the lang-de plugin was causing the problem. Rainer Am Samstag, 5. April 2008 schrieb John07: Hi, someone had the same problem on the talk-de list. It appears if you use the german translation of JOSM.
Was gibst Du da ein? Zentrum und Erfurt ergibt bei mir We couldn't find any results containing Zentrum. Search tips: Try similar words. For example, some sites may use film instead of movie. Make your search more general. For example, instead of using a specific product name, try typing the generic product category or manufacturer. 6 D-72135 Dettenhausen 07157-734133 email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] jabber: [EMAIL PROTECTED] GPG Fingerprint: 5966 C54C 2B3C 42CC 1F4F 8F59 E3A8 C538 7519 141E Full GPG key: http://pgp.mit.edu/ ___ Talk-de mailing list Talk-de@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/talk-de
