I am wondering what is the difference between footway and path? sac_scale on http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Map_Features seems to apply for both. Does that mean a mountain hiking path can be a path or a footway? Are paths larger than footways? Is it for paths required that any other vehicle/horse can use the path otherwise it is a footway?
