(Unless tagging separate entrances with nodes - but multiple entrances presupposes a building outline, which isn't this sort of import. If only we had NOAA LIDAR for inland areas :-D.) 51 Peters (not 52 Peters; it's correct in attachment CSV) appears to be a new-build suburban clinic. http://www.lancastergeneralhealth.org/LGH/Locations/Outpatient/Kissel-Hill-Outpatient-Center.aspx OSM is very under-detailed in this vicinity. Hi, On 11/14/2016 06:40 PM, Justin Mosebach wrote: > Would lat/long suffice for the location info (in addition to the address)? It would certainly be enough to point a human to the right spot on the map where they could then verify whether the object in question is already on OSM (in which case they might choose to just add some of the extra data you have), or whether it needs to be newly created. Note that the "advertising slogan" you have included in your data is not suitable for OSM and must be omitted. If you want you can look for ways to boil this down to verifiable facts (e.g. where it says "Has served families since 1976" you could put "start_date=1976",or where the text includes information about what the practice specializes in, this could lead to a "healthcare:speciality" tag as documented in http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:healthcare) but somethink like "fast, friendly, convenient" or "small enough for X yet large enough for Y" is not something that can be put in OSM. Thanks for the info! Yes, I did see the import guidelines (which led me to emailing this group). Would lat/long suffice for the location info (in addition to the address)? Re: [Talk-us] Bulk import for large healthcare system in central PA
Justin, I'm guessing you have looked at the import guidelines [1], but if you haven't, you can find them on the wiki. The import guidelines talk about community involvement, licensing, documentation and the actual import. For community involvement, you might want to join us on the US Slack import channel [2]. >From looking at the data, the one major piece missing is location. While the address is there, that means you'll have to rely on a geocoder which probably won't provide the accuracy needed to properly locate the building. When you document the process, please specify how you plan to determine the location. If you do plan on using a geocoder, it's important to use one that won't cause a licensing issue.
