Re: [OSM-Talk-ZA] Pretoria R80 southern extension
I raised the issues. These particular changes were made in June or July. I "repaired" some of the damage by marking the roads as proposed and breaking the links so that routing sw does not use them. Not sure that the user was ever blocked. His work has obviously not been reversed. Anyone know how to go about blocking the user and reversing his edits or has time to find out. I would certainly support this from the evidence I have found. There are a few positive changes he made but overall we are better off without them. Gerhardus referred to http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Disputes as a means but I never got there. See http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/marceldup/edits for changes made. Re: [OSM-Talk-ZA] Pretoria R80 southern extension
Hi, While I'm not familiar with the area, we could likely use the NGI imagery to reconstruct the area (and tag with fixme=resurvey until someone takes a GPS through). The changeset was made a few months ago so reverting it may well be more trouble than it's worth. (Reminds me, I need to resurvey the N7 construction north of Cape Town sometime...) --K On 10 October 2013 09:57, Eon van Zyl wrote: > Hi, > > The edits made by that user has been discussed in April and again in August. > The conclusion was that it was highway graffiti and the user has been > blocked. > Would be great if someone who knows the area can fix it. > > Regards. > Eon > > On Oct 10, 2013 9:24 AM, "Francois Pienaar" wrote: >> >> Hi, >> >> The last time I drove past there was in May, but I can't remember any >> roadworks of the scale depicted in OSM. Hi, The edits made by that user has been discussed in April and again in August. The conclusion was that it was highway graffiti and the user has been blocked. Would be great if someone who knows the area can fix it. Regards. Re: [OSM-Talk-ZA] Pretoria R80 southern extension
Hi, The last time I drove past there was in May, but I can't remember any roadworks of the scale depicted in OSM. I don't think that road exists because it would've made a big difference in traffic flow in the area. It might be a "planned" road, but no construction activity yet as far as I know. [OSM-Talk-ZA] Pretoria R80 southern extension
Hi Talk-ZA, After the recent discussion on the Pretoria N4 Offramp feed road, I was browsing through the area and discovered a southern extension to the R80 (from its infamous 270 degree bend) through the Magaliesburg to the R55. Does anyone know if this actually exists? I can't find any information on it (still digging though!), and aerial imagery shows absolutely nothing there. Here's the changeset that added it: http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/changeset/16699711 --K [http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Kelerei] ___ Talk-ZA mailing list Talk-ZA@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-za
