Mark thread as read
Hi, I noticed this in the beta 3.0.9.2, and I've not seen anybody mention it. I seem to have issues with marking a whole thread as read. From time to time, it works. 90% of the time it does not. This is with IMAP folders only (don't use POP3 any more). Also I've noticed that using the right click context menu has the Thread menu sub items as checkable items. I couldn't believe that it would suddenly change like that so I had a look at my TBOT QT sig and, sure enough, there was a scroll bar showing that there were a few extra lines at the end of the sig that I never knew about. I deleted those and, again, this is one area that Micro-Ed still woks as expexted for me and I can't for the life of me reproduce what you are getting - sorry. I was beginning to worry that I really didn't understand what you were talking about but I just can't reproduce your fault at all. Your QTs are OK I presume? Re: View Plain Text view menu option buggy
Hello Allie, When I go to the View Menu and select 'Use Plain Text Viewer', nothing happens except that the option is 'ticked' in the menu. I select the option on the menu again. The PTV is used, but the menu option is now unticked. From then on, the menu option is indicating the reverse of what it should. The right click context menu is fine. It does change Preferences, Properties, etc. but not the menus. Hello Allie, The different block mode selection types aren't working here in MicroEd. It seems to be stuck in the default block selection mode. Confirmed. Aceess violation making all pre betas unuseable for me
Getting multiple boxes showing acess violaton as below when starting all / any of the pre betas, wheteher I start from the icon on the desktop or from the exe file itself in the file listings. Violation is as follows Access violation at address 0059E2DA in module thebat.exe Read of address 000C The hard drive goes mad, constant access buzzing, dozens of vioaltion boxes pop up, eventually they all close, or I can Task Manager out earlier. Any ideas? Hello All, I have unchecked in account properties 'split outbound messages that are larger than...' but when I send messages larger than what is says in the default size it still splits them. Hello Wallner, I tried updating my 3.0.2.10 to the new pre-beta versions but the result is the same (access violation error) How do you start TB! ? The start folder is correct anyway, but i HAVE tried both ways with no luck. Hi Chris Wilson, Monday, March 7, 2005 you let us know -at least in parts- : Getting multiple boxes showing acess violaton as below when starting all / any of the pre betas, wheteher I start from the icon on the desktop or from the exe file itself in the file listings. Violation is as follows Access violation at address 0059E2DA in module thebat.exe Read of address 000C IMHO it does not primarily depend on the beta version. I found out that a fresh installed TB 3.01.33 will work up to 3.02.8. without AVs at least here under Win XP SP2. Deep Alpha was the first Bat that caused real avalanches of AVs, about 10 a second for half a minute. TB closed after that time by itself, I just had to wait. I tried to get rid of this bug and uninstalled all, deleted the registry entries and so on. Funny thing beside all that trouble was my other login on this PC, which all time worked well with all alphas and prebetas -as long as they were installed. I wondered if it would be possible that maybe a backup could cause the AVs when restore is being in progress or something with my backup files might have been wrong. As long as I restored just the account settings and the address book, all was well here -after a long period of AVs at startup which was about making me mad, I was glad about my success. But when I imported my mail and attachments, TB crashed anew. So I think, something is wrong with the way the new TB versions are handling the import of a big mailbase. Whenever I revert to 3.02.8 or older, I have no problems with starting TB and running it. Upgrading to Deep Alpha or above crashes my bat as long as I import my mailbase and runs smoothly without that burden. IMAP: Problems with connection on running test
Hi all, There's a 'test' button beside the IMAP tuning option on how many connections to the server are allowed. I ran the test at home and it was fine. No problems found. However, when I ran the test at work multiple times, TB! said some of the connections failed and that there may be a problem with the server. Right. :) I doubt the problem is with the server. Additionally at work, messages frequently don't load and I have to use the reload option and though I can read messages, I'm still waiting a while for some to load. The overall performance is well, flaky when compared to ThunderBird under similar conditions. I still can't make the transition to IMAP from work.
