That option was never in TB! And I using it from the 1.x versions ;-)

I'm  sorry,  but you should create a new IMAP account. If you want to 
move  the  previously  downloaded messages you can move they from the 
POP3 account to the IMAP one.

If you remember the last version where it worked properly (if it did) - please 
update the bugracking entry. We have made major updates of the HTML editor and 
might have broken something. We are eager to fix it. We are now always using 
the last version of TRichEdit from http://www.trichedit.com/trichedit.html and 
we are in good standing with the author of TRichEdit - it is the component that 
The Bat! uses to edit HTML files.

  after Alpha 60, we now entered the real beta test. 

  There is an issue with text formatting in the HTML editor which was created 
by one of the Alphas, and which is still not resolved. Unfortunately I can't 
remember with which Alpha it appeared, but I remember that someone had reported 
it. 

  Since it is still in existence with the current real Beta versions, I have 
entered issue #1338 in the Mantis bug tracker. 

  Here is the text which I entered:

Only the program files. Some dirs were nit removed (antispam sniper among 
them), as well as manually copied thebat exes (I kept older versions). My mail 
folder is not inside the program folder and it was left intact.

Or, right click on the bat icon in the start menu, select "More" and then "Pin 
to taskbar"



Hello Stuart,

normally you'd go to the THE BAT! folder, right-click the exe to produce a 
shortcut, cut that out, paste it to the desktop and then drag it into the task 
bar.

But the workaround you describe is the most comfortable and moreover the most 
elegant way to store the icon (the shortcut) in the taskbar.

Because at least in Windows 10 that works like a charm also for other shortcuts 
that you before never got to fix in the taskbar by dragging it there!

Please try to run it with /NOLOGO parameter to disable the splash screen. Will 
it start this way? Maybe it is the splash screen that is prevening it from 
running?

Please also add /STARTUP_TIMING_LOG parameter to write extended information to 
ex_log.txt. There are two of these files: one in the %APPDATA% and another in 
%APPDATA%\The Bat! (also known as the %EMAIL% folder).

So we will be able to see at which place exactly it hangs.

Do you have software running in the background that lock cliipboard? Please 
try, as an experiment, exit all applications and tray-application and have just 
plain Windows and then run The Bat!

Finally 8.0.6 fixed the 'Abstract error' crashing TB for me. I haven't
been able to go past 7.4.16.33 until now. 8.0.8.0 also works, so I'm
running that at this time, but, as always, I've saved the older stable builds.

The old Quick Launch problem...

I have a recurring issue (and I can be quite a menace about that :-D):

I have The Bat! in my quicklaunch bar (Windows 10, so I basically
pinned it to the "taskbar"). There is no problem with .RAR updates,
but the The Bat! installers destroy the icon every time. Running a The
Bat! installer requires me to remove the quicklaunch icon and add it
again, as described here:

Atom had a similar issue a while back but they fixed it:

I understand that this has something to do with application internals,

Installed and running fine so far.

I  downloaded  and  installed  8.0.2  last  night  and didn't have any
problem either with installation or fist use. However, this morning, I
could  not download email from any account due to 'abstract errors'. I
had  to  start 7.4.16 to be able to download TBBeta messages and learn
what was going on.

Anyway, once again, great job Maxim! :)

I choose to upgrade with my previous version of The BAT! Pro - the last license 
I have to do to v7.

application within the v6 and v7.0x versions.
Now is not it?
The license covers only the application within the main number ie v8.x to v8.99?

Will the voucher received from you (valid until May 2019) be used to purchase 
an upgrade from v7 to v8?

Just seek for the newest MSI file links in TBBETA. When we release newest to 
TBBETA, older one will point to latest release.
