MM> There should be introduction why this pane appeared and buttons/links MM> for downloading images "Allow once/Block once" and "Advanced..." for MM> opening URL manager and storing allow/block. You don't really need Block once button as long as the URLs are not stacked beyond current message which is already suggested. MM> Suggestions? I would also add second and third level domains to the list of hosts to allow downloading / blocking all images for certain subdomains. E.g. anything from *.amazon.com or *.bbc.co.uk can be allowed while *.somespamdomain.com can be always blocked. Other suggestion is to make URL manager folder aware. E.g. never download any images in Spam folder. Spammers are often using images from legitimate sources which helps them to get through filters. If there will be such an option the user would be able to turn on images only for the few folders he needs like newsletters, etc. -- Best regards, Peter Gannushkin URL: http://downtownmusic.net/ Current beta is 4.0.0.11 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

In fact in this release you have to double-click twice to get the effect. As far as I understand, it happens because first double-click places the cursor to the header and only the second one is caught for the link/address action. -- All the best, Peter Gannushkin URL: http://downtownmusic.net/ Current beta is 3.62.07 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Each message gets an extra header with the link to its place in the POPfile's database. And we can't 9> freeze it for another half-a-year to be completely done. Yes, Alt-clicking and speller hot keys are the main things why I didn't upgrade. Automatic spell checker is an issue too, although not a great one. What I think is wrong about TB! development is that while adding new features the old one are being constantly broken and getting disappeared. It shouldn't be the case. When the new interface came along the first thing which should have happened was the implementation of the current feature set. However it didn't happen that way. More and more things were introduced after that but still the basic things were not working properly. At the end you will have no time at all to fix them since each new feature is a new set of bugs and problems. PS Spell checker is totally wrong in the TB! It was OK to have it like this in 1996 but it is not OK to have it like this now. Even tiny programs like Semagic have the free multi-language spell checkers where you can check the text in several languages simultaneously and download any language file for free. -- Best regards, Peter Gannushkin URL: http://downtownmusic.net/ Current beta is 3.62.07 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Alt-Click in the message list filters but looses the focus
Hi All, Since the new customizable interface was introduced the Alt-Click in the message list has a problem. It does filter the messages (e.g. leaves only the messages by certain sender) but the cursor jumps from the current message to some random one. It is quite annoying if the folder is crowded with emails hence it takes extra time to get back to where you were. I talked to 9Val about this issue but he cannot reproduce it. According to 9Val it is not even planned yet to restore the shortcuts functionality to the dynamically created menu items. Which means that I won't have my spell checker shortcuts in the new version. Weird LCD monitor bug
Hi All, Look at those screenshots. When the email is created on the computer with the LCD monitor TB! starts to screw up part of the status bar. If I start clicking to the, lets say, "English" area of it, then the text on the block type, cursor mode, account name and the character set will be getting more and more weird. However if I change any of those setting by clicking on them then the bar will switch back to normal. -- All the best, Peter Gannushkin URL: http://downtownmusic.net/<><> Current beta is 3.0.2.2 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Unfortunately I cannot take it in any other way except as a sarcastic joke. The IMAP was not ever even close to be stable. In fact coincidentally after over a year of struggling with never working IMAP couple of days ago I finally converted my account back to the POP3 as I realized that it won't be ever fixed. I know that it works for some people but in my case on two different IMAP servers it never worked and lately it became almost unusable. Talking about the IMAP bugs I leave aside the daily crashes as well as the new but never fixed language bug. In the situation like that obviously all we need is the new interface. I guess it was my stupidity and not the issues. For a long time I had to clear the folder cache in order to be able to get the attachments. I realized finally that I have to have the "Full messages" ("All messages" in the other dialog) Synchronization mode for that. With the "Headers" or "Headers and Text" I would see the garbage and I won't be able to open the RTF/DOC attachments even after clearing the cache. It is still not clear for me why should I see the garbage instead of the attachments in those modes, but at least now I know how to make things work properly. "Leave messages on server" strange behavior
Hello All, I noticed that this option works pretty weird: 1. Messages are deleted according on days, but not on hours. It means that TB! deletes messages at the first mail check after midnight, but not 24* hours after the message was created or received. 2. If the mail was not checked for several days, then TB! will delete really old messages at the first mail check after midnight of the next day after the day I started to check mail. For example if I have this option set to 1 day, and I didn't check mail for a week, then the day I'll start to check mail TB! won't delete anything from mail box and I'll have hundreds of messages. But on the next day it will delete all the messages except ones from that day. -- Best regards, Peter Gannushkin e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] URL: http://www.downtownmusic.net/ -- __ Archives : <http://tbbeta.thebat.dutaint.com> Moderators : <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> You are subscribed as : archive@jab.org
