Re: TheBat or DNS?

2007-10-19 Thread Thomas Speer
Hi Martin Schoch,

My question now: With Check Mail for All all the POP accounts are
checked synchronously - is there any limit for this command?

Or is it a DNS problem when TheBat wants to check them all at the
 same time?

I guess it is neither of that, are a lot or all of those Pop accounts
running on one server because some mailservers have a limit of
connections comming simultainiously on one IP

I had that problem with a customer on our pleskserver.. (it was not
the bat but an other on lan mailsolution that was checking the POP
boxes.

if you need further help just drop me a private mail I guess you
german is pretty good too..

Hi Maxim and List,

There is still no means for making TheBat the standard mailer in
windows vista, I thoght this is maybe an installer issue, so I
patiently waited till you came out with an msi but I still cant set
thebat as my default mailer in vista...
It can't be that hard to get that done I just googled and at least the
german page I found in msdn is pretty straigt forward on that issue so
don't blame microsoft :-)

If you release without the Possibility to make the bat the standard
mailer you should at least change the line:

to

Works on but not with Windows Vista :-)

No avs

2007-02-15 Thread Thomas Speer
Hello fellow beta testers,

after a long time of not finding any bugs in betaversion faster than
any of you... i now have the chance to say somting here..

On my vista 64 system I get no av with the 3.96.07 beta.

maybe I do but vista is catching it...

most times 4 out of 5 when I close theBat my vista is telling me that
the bat has got a problem and that vista is searching for a solution..

the attached screnshot translates:

The Bat! E-Mail Client. Works with Windows Vista dosn't work anymore.

The Aplikation isn't beeing run correctly because of a Problem. The
Application is beeing shut down you will be notified when there is a
solution.

the Button says: close Application.

I have no entrys in my ex_log.txt so I shouldn't have any av's is that
correct ???

So please fix this other shutdownproblem too :-)

Hello Thomas,

My only problem is with UTF-encoded mails, and the rules don't forbid
them. I think that's OK, because I like the idea of UTF. The problem
is that TB displays them in RTV, as the PTV is not capable of
interpreting them. I wish UTF-encoded mails could be displayed in the
PTV, like I can display HTML mails in the PTV if I wish to do so.

I think I got good news for you I was at systems in munich and talked

When I had that problem with an earlier version of beyesit, deleting

I had somthing identical, I solved it by manualy going through the

Re[2]: Bug: Adressbook selecting with CTRL

2000-06-02 Thread Thomas Speer

Hello Januk,

you worte:

JA Confirmed. Did you notice that when you select an address you get
JA the line highlighted, but then you get a second "selection
JA highlighting" that highlights just one column of that line? I can't
JA describe it any better than that, since I've never seen anything like
JA it before, except maybe in a spreadsheet program.

Yes but that is fine if you select one line you also select an column
if you hit ENTER you can edit that column. That's really nice. But the
selecting an de-selecting is not so nice.

Hallo Stefan,

ST Hello tracer,

ST The problem is that a single "stupid" user on a single machine (i.e. without
ST administrator) should not have easy access to this feature. The only
ST thing I can think of is a secret key combination. But using .REG
ST files seems to be more practical especially within large networks -
ST you do not want to type those values in on each machine even using the
ST nicest interface, do you? ;-)

I have no Problem with editing the registry, but I know a lot of
users that are using windows quite a lot and haven't even seen the
registry on their system.

These users have grown up with checkboxes and radiobuttons not knowing
about any hidden configfiles they don't need to know

These userers are stetting up the bat on their system and a lot of
them know what files are dangerous and which aren't!

So I would vote for something in the Bats UI (maybe something an admin
could deactivate (grey) in the registry settings :-) )
