Re: TheBat or DNS?
Hi Martin Schoch, My question now: With Check Mail for All all the POP accounts are checked synchronously - is there any limit for this command? Or is it a DNS problem when TheBat wants to check them all at the same time? I guess it is neither of that, are a lot or all of those Pop accounts running on one server because some mailservers have a limit of connections comming simultainiously on one IP I had that problem with a customer on our pleskserver.. (it was not the bat but an other on lan mailsolution that was checking the POP boxes. if you need further help just drop me a private mail I guess you german is pretty good too.. Hello Thomas, My only problem is with UTF-encoded mails, and the rules don't forbid them. I think that's OK, because I like the idea of UTF. The problem is that TB displays them in RTV, as the PTV is not capable of interpreting them. I wish UTF-encoded mails could be displayed in the PTV, like I can display HTML mails in the PTV if I wish to do so. I think I got good news for you I was at systems in munich and talked to maxim. But using .REG ST files seems to be more practical especially within large networks - ST you do not want to type those values in on each machine even using the ST nicest interface, do you? ;-) I have no Problem with editing the registry, but I know a lot of users that are using windows quite a lot and haven't even seen the registry on their system. These users have grown up with checkboxes and radiobuttons not knowing about any hidden configfiles they don't need to know These userers are stetting up the bat on their system and a lot of them know what files are dangerous and which aren't! So I would vote for something in the Bats UI (maybe something an admin could deactivate (grey) in the registry settings :-) ) -- MFG / Best regards Thomas Speer Tel: 0 71 91/35 34 60 Im Wiesental 1 Fax: 0 71 91/35 34 44 71554 Weissach im Tal http://www.spuky.de PS: -- Okay, who put a "stop payment" on my reality check? -- 29.05.2000 -- -- View the TBBETA archive at http://tbbeta.thebat.dutaint.com To send a message to the list moderation team double-click HERE: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe from TBBETA, double-click HERE: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- You are subscribed as : archive@jab.org
