I will do what I can, but I have only now set up an IMAP account via TB and using a common folder and common filters.. This is only my first message set by this route and is mainly being sent just as a trial of the new system. -- Best regards, Roger :flag-SouthAfrica: The Bat! v5.0.26.18 (ALPHA) POP3, on Windows 7, version 6 1, build 7601 and Service Pack 1 Current beta is 5.0.26.18 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello, Maxim. > So, in your case, The Bat! will gradually fall > back to just one connection even if you have allowed multiple > connections in the account properties. Damn. I'm experiencing just this behaviour. Responsiveness to user commands drops as a result 'cuz they can spend several minutes in queue when there is background activity with regular high-pri tasks like 'update folder counters (precise)'. And yes, filtering performance, initially 4-5 times faster than before, drops too. I managed to complete an SNES game (~1 hr) before moving of ~1400 messages was done. As I told earlier after performing investigation, your initial suggestion to allow many clients to SELECT the same folder will work in my case. -- Regards, Ivan mailto:v...@mail.mipt.ru Current beta is 5.0.26.18 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Pls forward if needed What i can do is to give you an testaccount on my mailserver? Wrote my a mail and i setup this fast. Its shared webspace from a german hoster. Im on TB latest Alpha. I have try that with one or more connections - nothing helps. Now i try to delete all filters and start with filters from scratch. But that doesent help. Two filters for a try but no one start do work automaticly (it works by handy (Strg-F) TB! Checked using SecureCRT (it's trial yet better than nothing): Exchange 2003 allows multiple clients to SELECT the same folder in RW mode so the question is not applicable. Maxim's suggestion will do the trick in my case. -- Regards, Ivan mailto:v...@mail.mipt.ru Current beta is 5.0.26.17 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

If you're able to eliminate race conditions, fine. I was going to suggest one of the following: 1) Use standard CLOSE command instead of UNSELECT if the user doesn't object purging \Deleted (by selecting the default 'move to trash' as primary deletion method, he/she doesn't) and EXAMINE instead of SELECT whenever possible. Maybe EXAMINE is even capable of removing a write lock from the folder without leaving it. 2) Use and manage auxiliary 'temporary' folders to SELECT into. It's possible to reliably use and manage them even if there are multiple TB instances logged in (details are lengthy). I was going to check whether EXAMINE removes folder lock in Exchange 2003 but wasn't able to find an SSL-capable terminal emulator. -- С уважением, Ivan mailto:v...@mail.mipt.ru Current beta is 5.0.26.17 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello Ivan, Wednesday, December 7, 2011, 2:56:15 PM, you wrote: IP> Perhaps your problem is limited to certian filter statements. No, if connection 1 sits in folder A and connection 2 wants to move a message from folder B to folder A, it tells connection 1 to exit from the folder A. This is because some servers don't allow multiple connections to operate in the same folder; while other servers do allow. We will make an option to allow multiple connections to operate the same folder, so The Bat! won't need to release folders by issuing LOGOUT or UNSELECT command. -- Best regards, Maximmailto:m...@ritlabs.com Current beta is 5.0.26.17 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello, F.P.. > IMAP Filters still broken. Stops working. WFM. I only experience reconnections when using multiple IMAP connections (https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=8955) and slowdown because of that. Perhaps your problem is limited to certian filter statements. I only use string/regex matches and 'move' and 'mark as read' actions. You may want to disable filters one-by-one too see which one is causing problems. -- Regards, Ivan mailto:v...@mail.mipt.ru Current beta is 5.0.26.17 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
