Yes, some day :)

I've tried to fiddle with batskin.xml in the past and this morning and I
just seem to not be able to achieve what I want.

I know 9Val is listening. I know that he and the others will do what
they can to give us ease and also transparency of how to do things.

It's very comforting to have you agree with me. I promise you another

wouldn't--I fear you would get very sleepy. :) )

Some day, there should be a GUI editor for the batskin.xml configuration.
Preferably as a stand-alone, external application.

Oh, thanks! Looking closely, I see the same thing. But the faint blue
color and (acceptably) small size caused me to overlook the different
appearance.

I shall have to squint to notice these.

But, it's good to know it's not a bug but a deliberate design change.

I miss the color distinction enormously, however--what a convenience it
was!!

I hope so.

Yep, same over here - but the icons _are_ different. For unread mail
the icons is a closed envelope, for read mail the envelope is opened
and a sheet is half pulled out (That's what I see :-) - looks like
printer-icon for me).

OK - quite nice, but I too liked the difference in color better. It's
easier to see it at a glance instead of having to _think_ about what
icon there is. Maybe the unopened icon can be colored too?

Ah. I did not think to look in Default/edit. But did now.

Somehow--I didn't do it so far as I know, but it happened with my
installing RC1--Normal was checked to be Bold as well as Unread Bold.

Since--for contrast for my old eyes--I'm using Arial Black, I thought
all the message listings were in Regular, but they were, both Read and
Unread, in Bold.

I unchecked the Bold for Normal, and all is well.

Fixed now, and many thanks.

I should say that I'm using the Default Theme and color scheme. And I
used to have yellow envelopes for unread messages.

I will poke around among the settings and see if there's something I
missed there, also.
